News reports said she lived in a “secured building,” and her battered corpse was found in her apartment. Sadly, her own foolishness or naiveté may have played a role in her demise.

LaPere’s firm, EcoMap Technologies, positions itself as a company that uses technology to “digitize ecosystems, ensuring anyone can easily access the information they need, so ecosystems can be as equitable, efficient, & effective as possible.”

I am no closer to understanding what EcoMap does.

I would guess that it applies for, receives, and distributes government grants, mostly to it’s employees, for the sake of saving the universe and gaining walking around money.

Yes, it’s a bit of a mystery what they do, exactly. All descriptions of the company emphasize equity and inclusivity, boasting that its employees are over 50% female (cis- and otherwise) and over 50% “people of color.”

I have read several articles on this crime, and although nobody has said it yet, I think he was an invited guest in her apartment. Perhaps a dating app meeting or something else. But it looks like she made an awful decision that cost her.

“what EcoMap does”

It sounds like it launders money while saving the planet...

I went to the website. I still have no idea what the product is or how it makes money or what it does. It seems to gather curated data of some sort. I am feeling old.

“ In its “30 Under 30” feature for 2023, Forbes said that LaPere, a Johns Hopkins graduate, had a team of 30 and that her clients included the Aspen Institute, Meta, the WXR Fund and the T. Rowe Price Foundation.”

So, a democrat? How did she stand on BLM, defund the police, and who did she vote for in 2020? Before I care I need to know that. After all, maybe she got things just as she wanted.

At least 95% of the people in Federal prisons are incarcerated for things that never should have been Federal crimes in the first place.

The U.S. Department of Justice didn’t even exist until 1870. Before that, the Attorney General and the U.S. Attorneys for the various state districts operated under the Treasury Department. And they were mostly engaged in civil matters — because treason and tax evasion were probably the only Federal crimes on the books.

My sister in Baltimore sold her beautiful townhouse last year, when most homes were LISTED at 150% of the actual value, and she LOST MONEY!

This POS should have never seen the light of day....

"In 2015, Billingsley was sentenced to 30 years in prison, with 16 years suspended, after he pleaded guilty to a first-degree sex offense, court records show."

I am very PRO death penalty. And make it FAST!~!~~

You have it right. That’s how Team Dem does it. Vote for Dems, they gain control of government, liberal politicians then direct money to their favored causes and allies, and in return get more votes to keep the cycle going. The system works quite well for THEM. For the rest of us, not so much.
