The sea-ice surrounding Antarctica is well below any previous recorded winter level, satellite data shows, a worrying new benchmark for a region that once seemed resistant to global warming.
"It's so far outside anything we've seen, it's almost mind-blowing," says Walter Meier, who monitors sea-ice with the National Snow and Ice Data Center.

Forgive me, but weren’t there reports not long ago about how the Antarctic ice sheet had been growing that great deal bigger than expected?
With real data that has been coming out over the last decade I am betting these people are outright lying to us.
They’re too busy on social media, porn, and getting drunk watching football to see the scary news anymore.
People caring about global warming will become minuscule when economic reality slaps them in the face.

Well, we remember when all the polar bears died by 2000 - and the glaciers in glacier park melted by 2020 and large parts of Manhattan went under water by 2010...
