Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis turns on ‘malignant narcissist’ ex-president
The Guardian ^ | 09/15/2023 | Martin Pengelly

Posted on 09/17/2023 11:11:17 AM PDT by thegagline

Jenna Ellis – the Donald Trump lawyer who like the former president faces criminal charges regarding attempted election subversion in his defeat by Joe Biden in 2020 – says she will not vote for him in the future because he is a “malignant narcissist” who cannot admit mistakes.

“I simply can’t support him for elected office again,” Ellis said. “Why I have chosen to distance is because of that frankly malignant narcissistic tendency to simply say that he’s never done anything wrong.”

***

Described by the New York Times *** as “a lawyer whom Trump sought out after seeing her television commentary”, in 2020 Ellis rose from relative obscurity to become part of what she called an “elite strike force team” working to overturn Trump’s defeat by Biden.

On her show on Thursday, she spoke to Steve Deace, another rightwing host.

Deace said: “Before that man [Trump] needs to be president again … [to] escape the quote-unquote, ‘witch-hunts’, that man needs Jesus again because … his ambitions would be fueled by showing some self-awareness. And he won’t do it because he can’t admit, ‘I’m not God.”

Ellis said Deace had “perfectly articulated exactly how I as a voter feel”. She knew Trump well “as a friend, as a former boss”, she said, adding: “I have great love and respect for him personally.

“But everything that you just said resonates with me as exactly why I simply can’t support him for elected office again. Why I have chosen to distance is because of that, frankly, malignant narcissistic tendency to simply say that he’s never done anything wrong.

“And the total idolatry that I’m seeing from some of the supporters that are unwilling to put the constitution and the country and the conservative principles above their love for a star is really troubling. ***

There are many kinds of narcissists. Not sure what that person is talking about.
Yes, Hollywood and Washington are full of Narcissists, just don’t think DJT is one. Plus, if they’re all Narcissts if DC as is claimed, why would anyone care if Trump is one? If he is, at least he’s one who got things done.

She’s a nut job. Divorced her husband about a week (IIRC) in to their marriage.

Who goes on Twitter and bad mouths their ex boss? She had a 1 hour TV news program on Real Americas Voice a few years ago. It was horrible and she was unwatchable. I’m not sure what her deal is but she is very bitter.

Look at that. You asked for Biden’s apologies and I delivered. Then you go all p*ssy and call me a DeSantis supporter. Well first, you’re wrong about that. I’m not. Never have been. But why is it wrong to deliver what you requested?

He breaks them down. For example, he considers Megan Markle to be mid range but can’t remember which one. Maybe lesser mid range.

He considers himself to be an Ultra (of course he does) and so therefore is much more aware than Markle...

He is a pretty prolific writer on the subject with several books.

Trump’s “bad hire” record, which is giving him the benefit of the doubt, was long established before this—and has regularly extended into his legal team.

This isn’t about religion, I suggest you go read Mathew 7:21-23 before you go dragging people into a position where you can be all holier than thou.

It was this comment that introduced the topic of religion.

Politics is temporary. Redemption, or the lack thereof, is eternal. Do not stop reading Matthew.

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. [26] And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
-- Matthew 7:16-29

One of Trumps biggest mistakes was helping the flailing dull boy Ron DeSantis.

That fella Ron got the big head once he hooked up with the Bush cabal and the cash rolled in.

Symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder and how severe they are can vary. People with the disorder can:

Have an unreasonably high sense of self-importance and require constant, excessive admiration.

Feel that they deserve privileges and special treatment.
Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements.

Make achievements and talents seem bigger than they are.
Be preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate.

Expect special favors and expect other people to do what they want without questioning them.

Take advantage of others to get what they want.

Have an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others.

Behave in an arrogant way, brag a lot and come across as conceited.

At the same time, people with narcissistic personality disorder have trouble handling anything they view as criticism. They can:

Become impatient or angry when they don’t receive special recognition or treatment.

Have major problems interacting with others and easily feel slighted.

React with rage or contempt and try to belittle other people to make themselves appear superior.

Everyone in politics is narcissistic, but true malignant narcissists aren’t common. They have to at least show enough discipline to win elections. Being unwilling to admit one is wrong is a common trait of politicians and parties. It’s how they survive the ups and downs. Making diagnoses of politicians is difficult, especially for laymen. Politics is a very different world.

But you just did. And again, you get all wrapped around the axle and make false accusations when I deliver your request. So I’m probably better off if you stop the conversation.
