Scientists grow whole model of human embryo, without sperm or egg

Scientists have grown an entity that closely resembles an early human embryo, without using sperm, eggs or a womb.

The Weizmann Institute team say their "embryo model", made using stem cells, looks like a textbook example of a real 14-day-old embryo.

It even released hormones that turned a pregnancy test positive in the lab.

Instead of a sperm and egg, the starting material was naive stem cells which were reprogrammed to gain the potential to become any type of tissue in the body.

The family unit is no more. All children are test tube babies, grown on an assembly line, dosed with mind-altering drugs and conditioned by the state to specific workforce requirements.
After being "decanted" (artificial birth), the state raises them to adulthood and then puts them to work. Only three things exist in their minds now: work, meaningless sex, and soma (state-supplied hallucinogen).

The similarities between Huxley's Brave New World and our own society are frighteningly spot-on.

Unless it has a soul it’s not human.

Can you please tell me where the "soul" resides? Got a test that will show it?

If not then I would be careful about saying some human does not "have a soul" and is not human.

People who say that are starting down a road that will lead to mass murder.

None of us have a say in this. Who will be held responsible when things go wrong?

Read the article: The embryo models were allowed to grow and develop until they were comparable to an embryo 14 days after fertilisation. In many countries, this is the legal cut-off for normal embryo research.
