GOP Rep. Nancy Mace has a warning for her party about some efforts to restrict abortion without exceptions – and how it could affect moderate House Republicans on whom their narrow majority depends.
“I think they’re walking the plank,” the South Carolina Republican told CNN’s Dana Bash in an interview that aired Sunday, when asked if members in moderate districts like hers are doomed.
“I’m pro-life. I have a fantastic pro-life voting record, but I also understand that we cannot be a**holes to women,” said Mace, who has been vocal about including exceptions for rape in measures to restrict the procedure.
The two-term congresswoman went public about her own experience of rape during an abortion debate in the South Carolina state house before coming to Congress. “Being the victim of rape, you don’t ever get over it,” she told Bash, noting how the experience has affected her and her outspoken advocacy for exceptions.

Here in CT Democratic women turn out to vote on the abortion issue.
They figured out that under Roe v Wade they had to travel a mile or so to get an abortion.
Once Roe v Wade was overturned it was brutal...they now had to travel a mile or so to get an abortion!
What in the hell is so hard about SCREAMING they want abortion up to BIRTH!! WHY are they NOT SCREAMING that abortion should NEVER BE used as birth control, there are FREE birth control options in abundance EVERYWHERE and you don’t have to end up KILLING a baby! Our side has ALWAYS been just frigging STUPID they are deer in the headlights over the media, they are to STUPID to realize that the MSM days are OVER how many people honestly are STILL watching the MSM for news!! I am 71 and NEVER turn on TV for news, think the days of even my generation watching MSM in MASSIVE numbers is OVER!! Nope. What women who practice birth control know is that without abortion there is no use in practicing birth control
Think of it this way, if there is a 7-17% chance you will not get paid, how do you manage your home? You have to have a back up plan. If that’s living on the street then that’s what it is, but there’s a 17% chance there so you think about it all the time. And you know it’s your back up.
If there’s another job that gives you 100% chance of getting paid, but you have to move to a different state, give up your friends etc many or most will stick with the high risk job but they’re not going to pretend there’s a 17% chance of not getting paid. They might put it out of their minds and never speak of it but it’s tgere just the same

I think you are correct in that they don't have the votes. there are other issues where the margin is razor thin as well. There are a lot of kinzinger's and cheyney's in the "R" party.
Having the scum on record for NOT wanting to impeach - take your pick - biden, mayorkas, garland - would at least show where the internal "R" problem resides.
I could also argue that what we currently have can be classified as a "disaster". Short of the Comer hearings what has actually been done?

Anything we want will be defeated because women will not vote for conservatives if abortion is brought into the conversation. It is a guarantee, 100%.

“We have to compromise on gun control, abortion and gay marriage in order to remain competitive.”

Yea, there is nothing conservative about canada, so who cares. Basically they are a neighbor we are stuck with, nothing more. Abortion will lose 95% of all elections going forward. If you are strong against abortion, you will not win in the future. FACT.

You could say exactly the same about California. It wasn’t always wall-to-wall liberal. And neither was Canada.
But both were undermined by mass immigration, and by weak conservatives who were too frightened to say “No” to stupid women.
