Your Ruzzian friends rigged up a T-34 for a suicide mission and the Ukrainians killed it.

Sad waste of a T-34.

It was a T-55, they have lots of those.

Pics of plane parts on the ground clearly show SAM damage - likely a S-300 or S-400. The 1st vid (blue sky) looks that way too. Plus, the plane was at 28,000 feet, I believe.

It’s obvious Putin did it.

My Russian wife (from the Ukrainian Donbas) thinks so as well.

She also thinks that Wagner has acquired a nuclear weapon is is going to pop it off within Russia. This will result in Russia nuking Ukraine and Lord knows who else.

She gets all her news from various Russian social media sites.

Total neocon response.

Total continued evasion.

Why do you think the Russians retreated from Kherson?

If they are what you imagine them to be, why did they run away from Kherson?

The only thing that angry little neocons like you and John Bolton can do is foam at the mouth online.

How did The Walrus's Türkiye Project turn out? Erdogan is still in office, and The Loser Bolton has lost yet another round.

When The Ukraine Project implodes, you'll both be on the Internet, flailing in impotent anger. It will be pleasant rubbing both your noses in the bloody hamburger that remains of the AFU.

The only thing that angry little neocons like you and John Bolton can do is foam at the mouth online... Evasion upon evasion, as though I cared for the neocons, their enterprises, or Ukraine.

I'm just an observer of the Russian military getting their ass kicked out of Kherson.

You're foaming in the mouth about John Bolton because you can't face the reality the Russian military had to run from Kherson.

Why do you think the Russian army retreated from Kherson?

You're too intellectually coward to address that question, because you can't square your fantasy about the strength of Russia's military with their retreats.

So you evade, distract, but never actually face the question.

Why do YOU think the Russian army retreated from Kherson?

Ukieburger.

The anger will consume you and John Bolton, like Hitler in the clip from Downfall, where he spazzes out over Stalin.

More evasion on your part, as I expected. No anger here, though.

Just amusement at your continued evasion of a simple question.

You can't answer it because it blows up the myth you can't bear to let go.

Why do YOU think the Russian army retreated from Kherson?

Are you capable of thinking how and why that happened, and how and why the Russians can't do anything about it? I think you're afraid to, and your next reply will be more evasion, and more refusal to address the simple question:

Why do YOU think the Russian army retreated from Kherson?

None of the Russophiles on this board will touch that question.

They dare not.

There's just no spinning the obvious failure.

None of the Russophiles on this board will touch that question.

General Sergei Surovikin, November 9th, 2022: "Having comprehensively assessed the current situation, it is proposed to take up defence along the left (eastern) bank of the Dnipro River," said Surovikin, standing at a lectern and indicating troop positions on a map whose details were greyed-out for the TV audience.

"I understand that this is a very difficult decision, but at the same time we will preserve the most important thing - the lives of our servicemen and, in general, the combat effectiveness of the group of troops, which it is futile to keep on the right bank in a limited area."

Since you don't understand anything about the military, military strategy or military tactics, it would never occur to you that the Ukrainians might blow up a dam to cut off the Russian forces on the right bank [west bank] of the Dniepr River.

But military people on the Russian side DID think about that. So they shortened their lines, and removed their men and the Russian civilians from danger.

And what do you know: The Ukrainians blew up the dam.

And the Ukies are STILL being turned into burger by the 8 to 1 artillery advantage of the Russian forces - including the press-ganged Ukie schlubs on the right bank in Kherson proper.

Reminder, the Russian were pushed into a 'limited area' on the right bank because their attacks at Nikolaev stalled and they were forced backwards, retreating day after day, until they were pinned against the river and left to acknowledge "IT IS FUTILE" to stay in Kherson.

To repeat, the Russians were pushed back from Nikolaev and recognized trying to keep Kherson was FUTILE. By their own admission!

fu·tile

/ˈfyo͞odl/

adjective

incapable of producing any useful result; pointless.

An apt description of Putin's Special Military Olympiad.

Why did they get pushed back from Nikolaev? That happened even before their air defenses failed to protect the Kherson bridge from missile attacks. You're gonna need a better excuse than 'we were afraid they'd blow the dam', especially since the history in that region clearly shows it's the retreating forces that blow the dam, to try and secure their flanks. The Russians refused international observers be posted at the dam as Ukraine requested, and then when Ukraine's counter offensive starts the dam mysteriously blows up. Russophiles, apparently ignorant that both the Soviets and the Germans blew this dam during their retreats in WW2 actually believe this is the work of the attacking side. Reason does not penetrate them.

The Ukrainian=ns blew the dam.

You can continue to evade the obvious as much as you want.

You're gonna need a better excuse than 'we were afraid they'd blow the dam', especially since the history in that region clearly shows it's the retreating forces that blow the dam, to try and secure their flanks.

Yes, the "retreating force" 'forgot' to blow up the dam for SEVEN months.

Do you even read your own gas?

As I said before - you don't understand anything about the military, military strategy or military tactics, and you continue to prove it with every post.

In 1941 the retreating Soviets blew up the dam.

29 August 1941

The Russians have blown up the Dnieper dam at Zaporizhzhia, which feeds the Dneprostroi power plant, and have evacuated Dnepropetrovsk, the great industrial centre of Ukraine. Mr Lozovsky, the Soviet spokesman, told the press last night:

"We blew up the Dnieper dam so as not to allow this first child of the Soviet five-year Plan to fall into the hands of Hitler’s bandits. All measures were taken so as not to permit the Germans to make use of the dam and machinery."

In 1943, whilst on the retreat from advancing Soviet forces, the Wehrmacht destroyed the dam again, to make crossing more difficult.

Yes, the "retreating force" 'forgot' to blow up the dam for SEVEN months.

Who said they forgot? Oh, that's your strawman. Well, have fun with that. I'll just point out that the dam was blown up when it became clear to everyone that the Ukrainian counteroffensive was underway.

As I said before - you don't understand anything about the military, military strategy or military tactics, and you continue to prove it with every post.

Vladimir Saldo, the Russian-installed governor of occupied Kherson, said the breach would help Russian forces defend the area, saying, "In military terms, the situation has worked out in a way that is operationally and tactically in favour of Russian forces".Link

Gee, just like the retreating Soviets in 1941 and the retreating Germans in 1943, the Russians saw the military advantage in blowing up the dam to slow the enemy offensive. Can you explain how the Soviets in 1941, the Wehrmacht in 1943, and this Russian viceroy in 2023 have it backwards as to why and when you blow up a dam? I'll hang up and listen.

LOL!

In your little fantasy world, after the Russians were 'brutally beaten' by the Ukies in Kherson and were on the ropes, they "forgot" to try and secure their flanks for more than half a year.

you wrote, above: "since the history in that region clearly shows it's the retreating forces that blow the dam, to try and secure their flanks"

As I said before - you don't understand anything about the military, military strategy or military tactics, and you continue to prove it with every post.

the Russians were 'brutally beaten' by the Ukies in Kherson and were on the ropes,

Like the Russian you quoted said, the Ukrainians drove them from Nikolaev into a "futile" position in Kherson, where they had to flee. The enemy gave them no choice in the matter. Run or die.

Glad you can finally acknowledge that.

they "forgot" to try and secure their flanks for more than half a year.

They blew the dam when Ukraine started their offensive in June. I'm sorry you don't pay any attention to the events in the war as they take place. It explains your confusion on why and when the Russians would want to blow the dam.

Tactically, it is also a setback for any potential Ukrainian assault across the river.

The shape of the downstream part of the Dnipro river has altered significantly, while floodwater currents complicate any potential crossings by Ukrainian forces, making them less likely in the near future.

Russian forces were reportedly moved east from the far bank of the river, to reinforce defensive positions around the Zaporizhzhia front.

Some of Russia’s best-trained units from the airborne and naval infantry, along with units from the well-equipped 49th Combined Arms Army, have now been moved away from the river and sent to plug any gaps the Ukrainians might make in the coming days.

Link

So, to recap since you didn't pay attention while it happened back in June:

When the Ukrainian offensive started the Russians blew the dam to temporarily impede their progress, securing Russia's western flank so they could re-commit forces to confront the axis of attack from Zaporizhia, threatening the land bridge.
