The poll, published on Monday, shows that 48 percent of GOP primary voters back Trump as he continues to dominate the field. Ramaswamy sits alone in second place with eleven percent, while DeSantis follows with ten percent:

Trump’s support is unchanged since Kaplan Strategies’ poll published in July, whereas DeSantis is down two points from when he and Ramaswamy were tied at twelve percent. The pair have been trending in opposite directions over the past few months, with Ramaswamy climbing and DeSantis sliding.

Former Vice President Mike Pence is on DeSantis’s heels with eight percent after doubling his support since the poll that was taken from July 17-18. From there, former Govs. Nikki Haley (R-SC) and Chris Christie (R-NJ) tie at four percent. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) is down three points from July, garnering two percent in this poll, followed by Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND) with one percent.

Kaplan strategies sampled 800 registered likely GOP primary voters from August 9-10, and the margin of error (MOE) is ± 3.5 percentage points.

NOT a Soros horse. He sued WEF about lying and won the suit. Has posted letter from WEF online apologizing.

Make up your own mind. He received a Soros fellowship. Remember, he got this fellowship after he was already a multi-millionaire. He didn't need the money.

I wouldn’t say Vivek Ramaswamy is brain dead but he’s liberal as hell.

>>”oooooorrrrr...how about the most conservative candidate in the race and not the guy who gave Romney an SoS interview and who put the other Romney in as head of the RNC.”

Ooooorrrrr..... how about the most pro-American candidate in the race and not the guy endorsed by Jeb Bush, who voted for TPP, did and said nothing of significance about illegal immigration until it became fashionable to do so, and is happy to pretend that 2020 was a fair election?

Did he mention how he and his mom altered the results of the drug study to make the medication able to be sold.

I’d like to hear more about that too - good or bad.

Has he mentioned whether he converted to Christ yet? I’d like to hear more about his journey.

Has he given any more details about his Soros scholarship?

Did he give up forced vaccination as his policy?

Does he believe the last presidential election was altered by massive fraud?

He has a long way to go.

You’ve seen nothing that would give anyone a reason to think to DeSantis could win a national election? How about the fact that he demolished his opponent in a statewide election by 20 points? But let’s go with a real strong horse Trump who only won it by 3.5. Why slam the door shut on a state that’s only second to Texas in terms of importance when we can waste money defending that too?

I don’t admire the communists. I just wish our voters didn’t insist upon going all-in with a 2-7 offsuit every time.

It’s funny how you have to resort to denigrating DeSantis by the people who’ve endorsed him, but there’s no shortage of clowns and dirtbags that Trump has endorsed, such as Romney in 2012 to the Conga line of failed senate candidates last year and his whole administration was packed to the gills with swamp rats.

He’ll “get the best people”. No, he’ll get the morons and the jokers because the best people have decided they don’t want to work for an unhinged idiot who’ll probably end their tenure with a screed about them on his shortwave radio social media platform.

Good Lord, you don’t read my posts for the last 22 years

****************

I lurked from 1999-2009 before joining in 2009, so I’ve read a lot of Free Republic history, but don’t recall you specifically.

Your posts recently seem centered on Trump animosity, not on animosity towards the people who hate Nixon, Reagan, Ford, Bush, Bush, & Trump.

Hopefully, you’ll regain your status when the Trump Era is over.

He had the right to run - open or closed.

He was a fool to not see what would happen.

This exposes his poor political skills.

He will likely join Gov. Scott Walker as a footnote.

Are you kidding me? You bring up Romney in relation to Trump but when I bring up Jeb in relation to DeSantis, that’s out of bounds? It’s not just an accident that Mr. Establishment, Jeb Bush endorsed DeSantis. All the party insiders support him, or did until his campaign began to flounder. But bringing that up is out of bounds for you. No wonder.

Vivek may have gone to law school, but I have never seen any information that suggests he ever practiced law. In fact, I was surprised to read recently that the guy was independently wealthy before he even finished law school.

The problem is that there’s really no one out there who could go on the trail with DeSantis or anyone else to make a difference. Maybe Murkowski, Romney and McConnell should all come out and endorse Trump. Tell everyone they spoke to some of his people and feel comfortable with the direction he wants to take the country.

It’s just so depressing. It’s like his supporters are degenerate gamblers chasing a losing streak, and we’re they’re landlords. They’re screwing us all over in the end.

Since when do we hold candidates responsible for other people who decide to support them? Trump endorsed Romney - his decision.

He was a fool to not see what would happen.

I think a lot of us overestimated GOP primary voters. Who could have thought that a guy who lost to a corpse in 2020 and was the Midas of Feces in every Senate election he touched last year wouldn't pay a price for his habitually stupid decision-making?

Exactly. This is like trying to claim Trump was responsible for the David Duke endorsements.

But Trump, himself, did endorse Romney. TWICE, as a matter of fact. Once for President, then again, for his current term as Senator.

Maybe Trump is to blame for Romney even being in office right now?
