Speaker McCarthy Sets a Trap for Biden Impeachmeny
Townhall ^ | August 8, 2023 | Matt Vespa

When Hunter’s laptop was exposed, Joe Biden’s Justice Department worked overtime stymying any investigation into the president’s son. That knowledge worked its way up to the attorney general’s office, which appears to have lied regarding the independence of these federal investigations into Hunter Biden. Merrick Garland should also be impeached, but House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is starting to set a trap for Joe Biden on impeachment. The red line McCarthy established was the White House’s refusal to turn over financial documents. Today, he demanded Biden’s bank records (via NY Post):

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has called on President Biden to “give us his bank statements” to prove he didn’t benefit from his family’s foreign business dealing as Republicans prepare to launch an impeachment inquiry as early as next month.

“I think there’s enough proof out there that this Biden family needs to come forward and show there wasn’t a pay to play,” McCarthy (R-Calif.) told Fox News’ Sean Hannity Monday night — after testimony last week from first son Hunter Biden’s former associate Devon Archer implicated Joe Biden in about two dozen phone calls and in-person meetings with his son’s foreign patrons.

McCarthy said that an impeachment inquiry, which he first raised in late July as a possibility, “empowers Congress, Republicans and Democrats of their committee, to be able to get the information if somebody fights from providing it to them.”

Was he given the payments with the expectation that he would become president ? Comer hasn’t gotten to the full story yet although it is quite obvious Biden has acted or influenced a policy decision to benefit one of those companies or countries both as president and vice president.

Impeachment is set forth for bribery, treason or high crimes and misdemeanors. I think the argument could be made that bribes taken while Vice were then reciprocated during the Presidency. Certainly the Ukraine money funnel seems to be indicative of that. Also, the line that’s currently being drawn to Granholm’s visit with China being followed up with the depletion of our Strategic Oil Reserves to China might be indicative of treason.

If there is a link of those activities to a policy while Biden is occupying the White House, that's open and shut. However, just the mere possibility should be grounds for removal, imho.

What I am waiting for? Right now, everyone is pretending its disinformation, or denying the facts. At some point, you'll see the 'so what' rationale thrown out by media lapdogs. If Republicans had the 'nads, they would immediately come down hard on that--"So you're saying bribery and the potential of being compromised is just fine if it is 'your guy'? You're as much of a scumbag as he is."

Some Decisions/Edicts/EO's Biden is CURRENTLY enacting/imposing are a DIRECT RESULT of him BEING PAID BY OUR ENEMIES such as China, Russia, Ukraine to do so. THIS IS TEXTBOOK TREASON.

Doesn't matter WHEN Biden committed TREASON, he should be arrested and confined in a federal or military prison FOR TREASON (HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS, etc.)

Is the U.S. funding Ukraine to the tune of $1 BILLION per month to including PAYING FOR PENSIONS, ETC., BECAUSE OF BIDEN'S ILLEGAL BRIBES, MONEY-LAUNDERING, BLACKMAIL, and other illegal schemes between Joe/Hunter and Ukraine? YES.

It is alleged that one of Hunter's companies SOLD U.S. STEALTH TECHNOLOGY TO CHINA. There are countless acts of TREASON against the United States.

Except we are not at war with China (No declared war!) so, it doesn’t meet the Constitutional definition of treason. Sedition, more bribery, possible violations of the Espionage Act, failure to register as a foreign agent, etc. yes but doesn’t meet the treason threshold.

The Founding Fathers deliberately set the bar for treason very high!

Yeah, right. McCarthy is a do-nothing, uniparty piece of trash. He needs to be thrown in the dump.

On page 68:

“Starting Jan. 25, 2016, Burisma began sending regular payments for Biden to his Washington law firm, Owasco PC (Owasco).”

“Payments from Burisma to Owasco continued throughout most of 2016 and ceased eight days after Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the Nov. 8, 2016 presidential election.”

Except the Constitution doesn’t say we must declare war. It says “OR in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort”. The case could be made that China is indeed our enemy and he certainly has provided them aid and comfort and, at our expense.
