When Hunter’s laptop was exposed, Joe Biden’s Justice Department worked overtime stymying any investigation into the president’s son. That knowledge worked its way up to the attorney general’s office, which appears to have lied regarding the independence of these federal investigations into Hunter Biden. Merrick Garland should also be impeached, but House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is starting to set a trap for Joe Biden on impeachment. The red line McCarthy established was the White House’s refusal to turn over financial documents. Today, he demanded Biden’s bank records (via NY Post):
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has called on President Biden to “give us his bank statements” to prove he didn’t benefit from his family’s foreign business dealing as Republicans prepare to launch an impeachment inquiry as early as next month.
“I think there’s enough proof out there that this Biden family needs to come forward and show there wasn’t a pay to play,” McCarthy (R-Calif.) told Fox News’ Sean Hannity Monday night — after testimony last week from first son Hunter Biden’s former associate Devon Archer implicated Joe Biden in about two dozen phone calls and in-person meetings with his son’s foreign patrons.
McCarthy said that an impeachment inquiry, which he first raised in late July as a possibility, “empowers Congress, Republicans and Democrats of their committee, to be able to get the information if somebody fights from providing it to them.”

The lack of any investigation into the laptop lands squarely in Bill Barr’s lap. He knew it was real, he did nothing. When the Biden campaign released the statement signed by 51 Intelligence Community operatives, Barr could have and should have said they were lying. He didn’t because he was in on the stealing of the election for his fellow swamp mate, Joe Biden.

Question: Would payments being made while Biden was president be required for impeachment? Would his actions before he was president “qualify” as impeachable events?
here’s certainly more than enough credible evidence to open impeachment proceedings now. but pubbies will dawdle. they are - as a group - political cowards. it’s already August. they will waste a few months, then after the holidays we will get the ‘we can’t do this in an election year’ excuse. so in all likelihood there will be no impeachment.
and if i’m wrong and they move it along and there is a vote(s) on articles of impeachment, guaranteed there will be a dozen or so RINO-losers that will vote ‘present’ or ‘not-proven (remember that one?)
it will be the end of the republican party as thousands upon thousands of fed-up voters will stay home in disgust.
that’s a good question. Much of what we’ve heard relates to events which happened while Joe was vice-president. Can he be impeached now for events which happened then? I suspect that would be a possible defense by Joe, that even if anything happened then, it’s not still happening now.
Bill Barr is a POS ,who should be disbarred and then hung in front of all to see. He has always been a $hit bag deep stater .

Well is McCarthy going to issue the subpoenas or just posture about doing that? I suspect its the latter.
The financial records should be seized because whatever the biden family turns over would almost certainly be falsified and incomplete.
Potato joe most likely has co-conspirators managing his financials.

I’m sure he’ll give you some bank records, but not the ones where he deposited laundered money.

No. It’s worse that not doing anything. He actively suppressed investigations into the Bidens, the laptop, voter Fraud, and had teams investigating Trump during his tenure, and never convicted or punished a single FBI/DOJ involved in the hoaxes or coverup of political spying.
Bill Barr didn’t make mistakes, IMHO. He didn’t ‘fail to do’, he played an active role in destroying the Republic. History is going to make him own that.
