Turley: ‘Disinformation Indictment’ Is Charging Trump for Free Speech
Breitbart ^ | 08/01/2023 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 08/01/2023 4:30:59 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Fox News Contributor and George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley Special Counsel Jack Smith’s indictment of 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump “basically just accuses him of disinformation. This is a disinformation indictment” and charges “many” things that are protected by the First Amendment.

Turley said, “There’s less than meets the eye in this indictment. I thought the last indictment was a very serious threat for Donald Trump. When I take a red pen through material that is protected by the First Amendment, it reduces much of this to a haiku. Many of the things that the prosecutor is charging here [are] protected speech.”

The new actual definition of "Disinformation" is no longer "Deliberately misleading information" but is TRUE information that 'disses', or 'disrespects' the official false narrative of the Deep State thugs..

> Turley is a trip. I’m sure he voted for Obama twice and Biden last election. He’d pull the lever for Biden again if the election were tomorrow.

Turley is spot on. If a DC jury convicts him the SC as currently constituted should overturn.

The last speech I saw from him he couldn’t read the teleprompter and ended mid sentence and just randomly started on some other topic.

If this sticks

It’s effectively

the end of the 1st amendment.

And of free speech and opinions or beliefs.

Their semi final solution

Next step is a ditch.

“Trump never said go stormed the capital. He did say the election was rigged. If I remember correctly in 2016 Hillary said the same thing. Russia Russia Russia was she indicted ? First amendment baby.”

You are correct. Trump even asked Pelosi if she thought troops would be needed. She declined Trump’s offer.

If a DC jury convicts him the SC as currently constituted should overturn.

And if Trump wins the general, Alito and Thomas should think hard about the future. One would hope that would include picking up at least one senate seat. Romney and Murkowski might be a problem.

.

The Republicans need to get up and start Impeachment inquiry yesterday.

Or the Freedom to assemble, Free Political Speech, Prosecution’s, Raids, Impeachment, Seizing of Lawyer’s offices - will all be weapons exclusively for the Dems.

Why would they ever stop?

What’s the downside?

“Trump even asked Pelosi if she thought troops would be needed.”

I think it’s stronger than that. IIRC, he pretty much begged her, and that freak DC Mayor. Twice. They both declined. It would thwart their nefarious plan.

Doing the same exercise at home, boys and girls, yields exactly the same result, amazingly! They’re accusing him of lying. That’s protected speech, even if he “knew”the statements were false. And even that is pretty hard to prove. Can you wife prove you were thinking about the foxy neighbor last night while…

At that point, a smart leader would have cancelled the event. No security = no event. Especially on the semi-sacred day of the electoral college vote, when basically everyone was already telling him it was a horrible idea even if he had security.

Yes, twice, and the “facts” alleged do not show a crime. Even if proven, they show him a lying SOB, but not a criminal.
