Turley: ‘Disinformation Indictment’ Is Charging Trump for Free Speech
Breitbart ^ | 08/01/2023 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 08/01/2023 4:30:59 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Fox News Contributor and George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley Special Counsel Jack Smith’s indictment of 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump “basically just accuses him of disinformation. This is a disinformation indictment” and charges “many” things that are protected by the First Amendment.

Turley said, “There’s less than meets the eye in this indictment. I thought the last indictment was a very serious threat for Donald Trump. When I take a red pen through material that is protected by the First Amendment, it reduces much of this to a haiku. Many of the things that the prosecutor is charging here [are] protected speech.”

Turley is of course correct, but that will not stop the Biden Administration from trying to stop a political opponent. By far and away the worst administration in the history of our country.

The communist bastards never sleep, and they won’t stop until they’ve destroyed Trump first and then destroyed our country after that.

Turley is a trip. I’m sure he voted for Obama twice and Biden last election. He’d pull the lever for Biden again if the election were tomorrow.

The new indictment is legally untenable. Here is a link to the new indictment (scroll to the bottom of the story) https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-indictment-read-charges-january-6-election-case-2023-7?op=1

Trump never said go stormed the capital. He did say the election was rigged. If I remember correctly in 2016 Hillary said the same thing. Russia Russia Russia was she indicted ? First amendment baby.

I have every reason to believe Professor Turley. However,if this case goes to trial and reaches the jury (far from certain,it all depends on what happens in November 2024) he'll be convicted on all charges.

Of course his chances in the appeals courts hopefully will be different story.

That's from that old constitution thingy, isn't it?

Turley is a trip.

Yeah, I don’t get how Turley deals with such cognitive dissonance.

When and how did “disinformation” become a crime? Especially in a free society.

President Word Salad should at least be able to list the years elections have been contested going back to the second or third one ever held and get that information into the MSM.

“Special Counsel Jack Smith’s indictment of 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump “basically just accuses him of disinformation.”

I am surprised this one is married.

“In July 2011, he married Katy Chevigny, a documentary filmmaker known for Becoming, a 2020 documentary about Michelle Obama. They have a daughter. The couple lived in the Netherlands starting in 2018, before moving to Washington, D.C. in December 2022, shortly after Smith was appointed as special counsel.”

Usually when one of the prog minions is that far into the depths of swamparitaville they also have a few “minor details” they don’t really want discussed in open debate when they look as much like a raging faggot as “he” does.

So it does what it is told in order to keep it’s cush job and probably doesn’t mind the orders from headquarters to... wait for it... GET TRUMP!!

Simple minded, simple attacks.

Oh well, I hear PDJT’s campaign is a bit low and could use 40-50 million in donations.

“The new indictment is legally untenable.”

If there was any doubt, this shows for certain the Democrat apparatus is lobbying for Trump to be nominated as the GOP candidate.

They are betting they can defeat Trump by hook or by crook easier than the Florida man.

However, with gasoline headed to $4.00 per gallon and hamburgers to $13 per - who knows what may happen. The Democrats may get Trump as the opponent and then realize they don’t have an answer.

They may rue the day.

Fox (Brett Baier) read a statement by Hakeem Jefferies condemning Trump tonight.

Baier and Fox neglected to point out that Hakeem Jefferies is an Election Denier.

By charging and prosecuting someone for exercising a protected right, the prosecution is attempting to suppress and shut down the citizens’ exercising of that right.

Merely filing the charges is a violation of that right...a violation of civil rights, and is illegal on its’ face.
