Yes, it would be interesting to see them side-by-side. Maybe I’ll do that later when I’m working at the computer. I give DeSantis the same amount of support as I did Trump when I supported him. Sadly, not paid.

Kudos for your posts. Trump’s and fanboys junior high attacks on Desantis are phony and delusional. All conservatives agree Trump is being crookedly persecuted, but if the GOP wants to win the next election, emotional support for Trump is not gonna cut it. Desantis conservative bona-fides are superior to those of Trump in spite of balderdash floated by some on here. Trump’s negatives among much of the electorate plus the distractions of all the legal mumbo jumbo will truncate any positive conservative messaging in support of the American public. He will spend his time lambassting the crooks. Again, emotions are NOT going to win the election in 2024. The hatred towards Desantis on here is detestible.
If Trump disappeared the media and deep state would start flinging **** at the next GOP nominee. DeSantis would be better than Biden, Harris, Newsom, Whitmer, etc. etc. but I think Trump has a better chance.
I smell desperation, defeat and an attempt to gain face. Too little, too late, and too predictably so.

I appreciate your comments. I pretty much agree with your
take on it. We have folks closely affilated with the GOPe /
RNC here, just like we have had every year before general
elections.
Some of them mean well, and can’t understand why we want
the guy that has proven he will got to bat for us. They
just don’t seem to grasp how seldom that happens.
Others are paid to be here doing this. It happens every
four years, and I’m sure off year elections too.
I’m not sold on Ron, and the more he sticks around flailing,
it really is hurting him for 2028. I’m not sure he’s the
go-to guy anymore for 2028. Darn shame what he was done to
himself.

At one point I think we could have said the same thing re:

My major complaint about the GOPe goals is that they move
Left slower than the Democrats. But the truth is, they still
move Left. There is no plan to go back to how things used
to be, and that is a fatal flaw in their play-book.
We have a country that is severely demoralized. We have
the Leftists and the farm team Leftists.
We don’t have Conservatives and a farm team led by the
top officials of our party. Anyone that leans that way
is called a terrorist.
They are very comfortable with them being called terrorists,
and they don’t give any push back at all.
It just disgusts me.
Is DeSantis a part of that group? I can’t say. In some
ways I’ve been very proud of him, and in other ways he just
isn’t a team player for Conservatism.
I don’t think he recognizes how great Trump has been.
There is so much mud slung at Trump from both sides, it’s
hard to remember all the good things he has done.
I see posts here all they time saying he did nothing for
our cause. That’s how seriously blinded some in our midst
are.
As far as trying to figure out Ron, let me help you. You don’t just turn into a tone-deaf, focus tested career politician overnight. You don’t go from being a self-less, visionary and public servant who only wants what’s best for the country one day, to being a guy who has to ask his staff what he thinks on a particular issue, the next. In other words, he’s always viewed politics, primarily as a career.
I may not be as far down on Ron as you are, but I’m headed in that direction
at this time.

There’s a reason why they continuously try to destroy President Trump. I don’t know how he stands it.
