I appreciate your comments. I pretty much agree with your
take on it. We have folks closely affilated with the GOPe /
RNC here, just like we have had every year before general
elections.
Some of them mean well, and can’t understand why we want
the guy that has proven he will got to bat for us. They
just don’t seem to grasp how seldom that happens.
Others are paid to be here doing this. It happens every
four years, and I’m sure off year elections too.
I’m not sold on Ron, and the more he sticks around flailing,
it really is hurting him for 2028. I’m not sure he’s the
go-to guy anymore for 2028. Darn shame what he was done to
himself.
As far as trying to figure out Ron, let me help you. You don’t just turn into a tone-deaf, focus tested career politician overnight. You don’t go from being a self-less, visionary and public servant who only wants what’s best for the country one day, to being a guy who has to ask his staff what he thinks on a particular issue, the next. In other words, he’s always viewed politics, primarily as a career.
