I believe that's why they have these campaign funds, to help the campaign and the candidate even if it is spent on politically motivated lawsuits.

The other reason he might for not be attending the debate is that he won’t be able to, considering what Julie Kelley has reported that Jack Smith could get him held until trial like the other 1/6 defendants, so he could be in jail.
Lol! I would consider his legal expenses part of the cost of him running for office. He sure wouldn’t have them if he wasn’t running. If Trump supporters are fine with paying his campaign-induced legal expenses, that’s up to them. I sure would kick in, in a heartbeat.
No one but Trump can come up with so much sense in a single sentence that totally kills any debate on his debating those 7-10 runner ups.

He has legal bills because he’s running. It’s a legitimate use of funds. If they do establish a legal bill donation site it will quickly amass significant donations. People want Trump to be President in 2024 and they know he has spent much personal cash. He is under attack because he is standing up for Americans.

I admit we now live in Amerika where the law has been weaponized and criminals torture and misuse statutes for political purposes. However jailing a presidential candidate for non crimes seems a reach. The left is running it’s mouth, running scared. It is more likely Jack Smith will be disbarred & jailed.
