The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
Millions of Americans in the West and South will stay trapped under a dome of heat, while a system of storms is set to dunk the East with severe showers and flash flooding through the end of July.
In a heatwave smothering the western third of the country through the end of the month, some spots are already reaching record high temperatures.
A separate pattern will keep showering rain along the East Coast..

“Millions across US experiencing heat wave”
Well, that seems to be a trend in summer. Is our ‘education’ system so bad that people cannot read a calendar?
I guess the news media must have missed all this.
Weather is weather, it changes.
Sounds kinds of like "equilibrium". How terrible.
(Okay, I only hit a few buttons, here but tried to make up for it by shouting loudly...)
Last night ABC announced that 90 MILLION were hot and 45 MILLION were wet, but they failed to mention the 200 MILLION who were just fine.
There is no dome of heat. This is propaganda.
I look at many kinds of weather maps daily for the US and the entire world. This propaganda is very frustrating because it has no relationship with the truth and exists solely to re-enforce a falsehood: “climate change / globull warming”.
how about you hold builders responsible for any and all flooding for say, 25 years after a home is built. with a cash bond equal to 2X the price of the home when built. P.O.D. if the house is ever damaged by a flood. the owner is responsible for the value of any and all additions added to the home .
P.S. the corp of engineers has flood maps for most of the united states that can be looked up on the internet. I suggest anyone buying a home look at them and then decide to buy .. or make every seller provide a US geological flood map with every home...
I guess coloring normal temps from green to red on weather maps made the Erf heat up.
That sounds racist.
I have noticed that they post the heat index values instead of the actual temperatures on their maps. The serfs are easily duped into climate crisis.
Here in golden valley it’s 107.
Twas 113 yesterday
It’s been hot here in St. Louis, but we get the afternoon T storms to cool things off and clear the air. I love the Midwest.
Oh no, we’re all gonna die again.
It’s been a cold wet summer in Alaska. Statewide we’ve only had 1500 acres of forest fires. That’s less than 2.5 square miles burned so far this year.
It only counts when the temps are hotter that normal. Cooler than normal doesn't count and is not newsworthy. /s
I clicked on the NY Post link to see the full story. Guess what?! The word “climate” is not in the story. Not once.
What’s going on?
What??? I could have sworn it was due to Red States blocking the loving, wonderful, caring “gender affirming care.”
“I love the Midwest.”
I spent seven years in Missouri, then skedaddled to the West. Had my fill of the Midwest. Now we are on the edge of the Rocky Mountains in Idaho on a mountain lake. Can’t be beat!
