Cocaine discovered in the White House on Sunday was found in a cubby hole in a West Wing entry area where visitors place electronics and other belongings before going on tours, a source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.
The Secret Service is investigating the matter, the White House said. "They're checking visitor logs and ... looking at cameras. Those are the next steps. Cross-checking," said the source.
White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters: "Where this was discovered is a heavily traveled area where many ... West Wing visitors come through."

Not true for tours, even a walk into the balcony viewing area of Congress, they take your phone, everyone's phones. The WH tour we were able to keep our phones for the general tour.

If the SS did not detect a bag of white powder when searching visitors to the White House, then every SS member on detail that day should be fired.
That could have been a bag of pure fentanyl which if released into the air could have killed everyone in the building and contaminated the building for years.
But everyone knows it was Hunter Biden’s and he wasn’t searched when he showed up to visit the Big Guy.
