The 2024 battle for the Senate started with a bang earlier this year and has not let up, as candidates in top races continue to roll out their campaigns and incumbents scratch and claw to win reelection. Their efforts will determine who will control the upper chamber for the next two years.
Democrats are trying to play defense in a number of red-leaning states to hold on to their one-seat majority, while Republicans fight recruiting battles in several states to give them the best shot at winning a majority.

This is The Hill, NOT Breitbart.
Excuse the typo
I doubt it will be close. Manchin betrayed WV.
I do not know about the other four, but I think Rep. Ruben Gallego is already being measured for his swearing in suit.
The Democrat establishment dislike Sinema to the point of pure hatred. Both the Republican and the Democrat establishment hate Lake even more. So there is no help for Lake (even if she is allowedon the ballot as the Republican nominee ) after the primary.
Maybe Gallego and Sinema will split the RAT vote and Sheriff Lamb will take the seat.
I aagree with these rankings. More specifically:
WV - probable GOP pickup
MT and OH - likely GOP pickup
AZ and WI - toss-up
If we win for Prez, we keep the House and pick up the Senate (but be far from 60 vote filibuster-proof majority).
I love how The Hill persists with the gaslighting that Machin is a “Centrist Democrat”.
Manchin is an actor, and a poor one, one strongly suspects.
Manchin would have the good people of WV believe that he's a centrist (or even a "moderate" GOPer) reluctantly wearing liberals' clothes.
One suspects that all of his hand-wringing protestations are pre-approved by the Senate Dems, who laugh at those who want him to be centrist more than they want to look at his history.
Manchin.
A test for fools.
Manchin’s gonna run for president as an independent anyway.
Manchin’s gonna run for president as an independent anyway.
Younklin in Virginia. Clarke in Wisconsin.
Yes, it will work if Trump is the GOP nom.
Manchin will pull votes away from the Trump if he's the GOP nom and hand the election to the Dem (unlikely Biden, just my guess.)
That’s who I want, not Lake.
“Manchin’s gonna run for president as an independent anyway.”
Hahahahahahahaha
Hahahahahahahaha
Run Joe Run!!!
Manchin will pull votes away from the Trump if he's the GOP nom and hand the election to the DemOnly from the (you?) slack-jawed knuckle draggers at FreeRepublic that were braying for Manchin to switch parties.
?
I don’t think McConnell wanted control of the Senate. Otherwise they would have bent over backwards to work a deal out with Manchin and Sienna to get them to caucus with Republicans. Either one would be more conservative than some of the so-called Republicans in the senate. An opportunity lost.
Arizona
Montana
Ohio
West Virginia
Wisconsin
I think if Walker won in Georgia, Manchin would have switched. Once Walker lost there was no sense Manchin switching because the Dems would still have the 50-50 majority.
