A better option would have been for FedGov to offer employment a la Works Progress Administration to help people with useless degrees - even if it was only digging ditches or similar unskilled labor. At least we’d get something out of it.

100%. Repudiating the Hildebeast, then replacing the notorious RBG. It's the gift that keeps on giving! PTL for giving us our country back, at least a little bit. Vote Trump and finish the job!

They did that, it was called a stimulus check I believe...

I wasn’t being snarky at all. People smarter than me looked at some other decisions released this week (and her comments), etc and wondered aloud if she might hang her hat on that.

So I’m relieved.

6-3 decision. An excerpt from The Hill -

“In dissent, Justice Elena Kagan, writing for herself and fellow liberal Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson, chastised the majority for exceeding its “proper, limited role.” Kagan read portions of the dissent aloud from the bench, a rare occurrence.

“The right answer is the political branches: Congress in broadly authorizing loan relief, the Secretary and the President in using that authority to implement the forgiveness plan. The majority instead says that it is theirs to decide,” Kagan wrote in dissent.”

...denying tens of millions of Americans the chance to get up to $20,000 of their debt erased.

“And saving tens of millions of Americans from paying for those deadbeats.”

The whole platform of the left is various forms of redistribution of wealth. Not only is their ‘money throwing’ method of problem fixing lazy, it always makes the problem worse. To give them credit, that could be on purpose.

I’m not 100% crazy, but hey, the day is still young. LOL

From Fox News (sorry). It was a divided case, and in fact, the first case was decided as lack of standing. It’s the 2nd case that we’re discussing, evidently:

Maybe young rat voters will now realize how bad the economy is when they have to start repaying their college loans. It might even make them question why they got a gender studies degrees.

Presidential nullification of a legal contract is illegal.

I’m sure that the GM bond holders who were screwed over by O’Bammy in 2009 will be glad to hear that.

I’m waiting for the BEE to have their say. Maybe something like...not to worry...Ukraine will be sending new money to Hunter and he will pay off some of these loans. He’s quite a son.

In her dissent, the liberal justice commented that the 6 justices went over their right as the congress lesgislates. Problem is, It was President Joe Bite me thru Executive Order that said debt relief would happen, NOT Congress. He bypassed the system to buy Votes in the 2022 election, and those foolish young people got a pig in a poke! In other words, democrats reneges on their campaign promises yet again!
