As soon as the federal indictment of President Trump was unsealed, we were treated to stories featuring photos of “boxes of documents” stored in various rooms at Mar-a-Lago — including boxes in places like on the stage in the White and Gold Ballroom, and even in a bathroom:
Like the photos from the raid showing classified documents splayed out on the floor, these photos created a certain impression with the public. Just look at how many boxes there are! Look where they were put! Dozens of boxes all over the place, where anyone could get them.
But as Newsmax host Greg Kelly pointed out, it’s “a scam” that’s poisoning the public’s perception of Donald Trump in this case. Why? Because, as Kelly noted, the actual number of classified documents that were found at Mar-a-Lago could fit into one single box, with ample room to spare.
“You don’t have to be a lawyer to look at this and know that it’s a scam,” Kelly said. “Number one, in that indictment, they put some pictures in the indictment to scare us. Ooh, look at all these boxes. The classified documents in the boxes. These pictures are actually in the indictment, and there are dozens and dozens of boxes.”
He continued, “So I went through the indictment and saw that how many documents, classified documents, did the FBI actually recover? 102.”
Kelly then pulled out a box like the ones in the photos. “So, everybody, I got a box right here, alright? This is one box.” He then showed an intact full ream of paper — 500 pages — plus another 100 sheets of loose pages to represent the actual classified documents that were found. They didn’t even come close to filling a single box.

“A judge etc. etc. etc. . .”
Please, just because a judge did something demonstrates NOTHING about the validity of what was done.
The same as is true if the FBI or “Justice Dept.” does something and that is especially true if the defendant
is a Republican and or a Conservative or named TRUMP.
No, that is not all the proof they have to provide.
The government must provide sufficient proof to convince a jury that the defendant is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The President being able to declassify any document he pleases, without consulting or notifying anyone, means that there is obvious cause for reasonable doubt even if you find an ex-President possesses a document with classified markings.
“And there are documents he could have in his possession as president he cannot have as ex-president.”
This is entirely a fantasy of those who abuse the law!
They abuse their authority, which itself is stolen!
I’m hoping to post another GSA reference if I can find it again.
The actual article was written by liberal/leftist TDS media hacks: The-CNN-Wire™ & © 2022 Cable News Network, Inc., a Warner Bros. Discovery Company. Apparently distributed to liberal/leftist local news stations. Are we to believe that CNN can be trusted after all? Don’t think so.
Posted an article that said GSA was helping at the whitehouse with the packing....a couple pages in...
Important: The CORRUPT Department of "Justice" is trying to TAINT the American People (and Jury Pool?) w/ALARMIST photos that mean NOTHING! This is an absolute HOAX. (PS: the deep state "Leak" classified docs ALL THE TIME to the Fake News who have no "clearance"!!) pic.twitter.com/HEW3Suelxe— Greg Kelly (@gregkellyusa) June 13, 2023
Perfect...but...but....anyone could come in...and steal a plan to attack iran....
‘They take President Trump’s word as the Chief Executive. No more needs to be said.’
and if Joe Biden were in the same boat as Trump that would be your response...? take his word for it...?
It just boggles the mind to think that anyone, including the Trump family, could live like that with boxes all over your daily living space. Mara Lago is obviously not your typical residence, and has more square footage than I could dream of, but c’mon man! Trump is too fastidious to let his home get cluttered up like that.
Furthermore, if the “staff” moved boxes that implies the boxes were stored somewhere else prior to the “move”. And just where could that have been? Hmmmm....
Still no predictor of what the unopened ones contain.
And why would they not? He's the most investigated man on earth and they came up with zip zero.
So you’re saying these documents weren’t declassified by President Trump? Can you send a link to this assertion?
“And who put those boxes there? My guess the FBI stooges moved them from their original location and made it look chaotic on purpose.”
Yep. Because nobody tied to President Trump was allowed inside during the search.
And IIRC, they claimed the cover sheets as being “classified documents”.
“Pretty obvious that box has clothes or personal items of some kind in it. What about the rest?”
Heck, for all we know some of those boxes could be empty.
Any procedure is moot. As chief executive, Trump had the power to classify or declassify with or without procedure. Trump had the power to personally change or have someone else change any procedures. Trump had the power to declare documents to be presidential records. (That is key. The classification nonsense has nothing to do with this case.)
Trump did not have to notify anyone or seek approval from anyone to change procedures, for himself or anyone else in the executive branch. That includes determining which documents are presidential records. Congress and the judiciary do not have the power to usurp the President’s constitutional powers.
If you want to know what Trump was doing with documents while he was President, all you need to do is look at his actions, which are legal actions because there are no laws that can eliminate the President’s constitutional powers. If there are, then the law is unconstitutional.
All documents and information within the executive branch of government exist for the President’s benefit and for the President to do his job. All classification schemes are for the benefit of the President’s administration of government. No executive branch entity or employee has ANY authority over the President’s actions in regards to classification and whether the documents are presidential records.
When President Trump directed the GSA to pack and transport the documents to Mar-a-Lago he did so while in office and with his direction to do so it can be assumed that he was declaring the documents to be personal records of his administration of government. It should not be the default assumption that he was breaking the law when he had full powers to avoid breaking the law.
It is important to not conflate President Trump’s declassification of documents with anything to do with his own access to documents. For example, when Trump declassified the Crossfire Hurricane documents he did not do that for his access to the documents. He did it for other people’s access to the documents. Trump, while President, always had legal access to all documents within the executive branch. No one had the power to say ‘no’.
