BENTONVILLE -- A Colorado man was sentenced to 20 years in prison after admitting he threatened the lives of a judge and probation officer.
Theodore Howell, 29, of Denver, pleaded guilty Monday to threatening a judicial officer/juror and terroristic threatening. He was charged as a habitual offender.
Nathan Jeffrey, a probation officer, reported to the Benton County Sheriff's Office he received a text message threatening to kill him from Howell, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Jeffrey said he knew the phone belonged to Howell because it was the same phone number Howell had for being on probation, and Jeffrey had communicated with Howell using that number, according to the affidavit.
Howell was accused of sending the threats via the Benton County Sheriff's Office's website, according to court documents.
There were threats directed at Benton County Circuit Judge Brad Karren and one threat directed at Jeffrey, according to court documents.
Howell said in the first threat he planned to kill Karren when he's walking to court, and Karren would never expect it, according to the affidavit. Howell said he planned to kill Jeffrey at the probation office.
Howell described Karren as transphobic in the second one, according to the affidavit. Howell said he planned to kill Karren with a knife while he was walking to court, the affidavit states.
"I've been arrested for threats before, so this time I will act on it," he states on the form.
Howell said he planned to kill Karren because Arkansas was mean to transgender people and the jail was "super" mean to him the last time he was held there, according to the affidavit.

Well...good luck with that one,you sick freak!
In prison, his nickname will be "Lovey".
This is all connected, I think, in a way, and its tragic. And I truly feel sorry that a 29 year young man through away the next 20 years of his life. (Depends on how they classify as to whether he serves 85%, 50%, or 33%). I may be speculating, but to me it comes from this notion that there are no boundaries, moral or otherwise, and everyone is the arbiter of what is right and wrong for themselves, so like this guy, he thought he was entitled to make those threats. That mentality started long before those threats.
“A Colorado man was sentenced to 20 years in prison after admitting he threatened the lives of a judge and probation officer.”
Threatening the life of a judge should result in far more than 20 years.
>In prison, his nickname will be “Lovey”.
Thank you for doing the work that I was about to do
Trannies are murderous unguided missiles aimed at normal Americans.
LOL! You win FR for the day!
Anyone that wants to either chop off their penis or sew up their vagina is mentally deficient and needs to be institutionalized for not only their own safety, but the safety of society in general.
As a FReeper friend said about another case...”He will be picking cucumbers all day and getting B*** f****d all night!”
It’s not a mental illness. Or so we’re told...
It should result in execution!
They’re just demons doing the bidding of their master satan.
Tragic? LOL the mentally ill pervert f***ed around and found out. Actions have consequences. Too bad he never learned that lesson before the consequences got quite severe. Now he learns it the hard way. No sympathy from me whatsoever. I hope his boyfriends in prison enjoy their new toy!
“Arkansas was mean to transgender people and the jail was “super” mean to him the last time he was held there”
I seriously can’t stop laughing at this. My stomach and cheeks are hurting!
Its tragic that when his parents should have been raising him to Godly principles that somewhere he picked up the idea and theology that everyone can determine what is right and wrong for themselves, that there are no absolutes.
