On Friday’s broadcast of Fox News Radio’s “Guy Benson Show,” author, National Review Contributing Editor, Fox News Contributor, and former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy stated that while former President Donald Trump does have ample reason to say he’s been singled out, the indictment against him is “a devastating document. If they can prove half of it, he’s toast.” And he believes more than half of what’s in the indictment can be proven.
McCarthy stated, [relevant remarks begin around 35:35] “It’s a devastating document. If they can prove half of it, he’s toast. And I sense that they can probably prove more than half of it, because a lot of it is recorded conversations, testimony from his lawyers, and that sort of thing. So, I think, Guy, part of the reason that he’s been hitting so hard at the idea that he’s being singled out — which he’s got a lot of basis to say that — part of the reason is his real defense here…is the Hillary Clinton precedent. And I’ve had to try to make this point a number of times today, selective prosecution defenses are very effective in terms of trying to argue to the prosecutors that they should not exercise their discretion to charge. Once they do charge, those defenses don’t help you very much.”

LOL Yeah he lapped it up so much he wrote a book called “Ball of collusion” which debunked the whole thing.
Ah… sure you are - I’m sure Ron can pick up all those vaunted women and swing state votes by supporting BLM too…
We will, and I hope it's strong and factual, and that Trump himself will learn to shut his trap. From what I've heard, he has some strong precedents on his side regarding the boxes at his house. The first is the court ruling that allowed Clinton to keep his tapes of phone calls with foreign leaders, which would have been secret at the time, and the fact the government never setup a national archives office in Trump's home town, to hold this stuff, as was done for previous Presidents.
The charge he's going to have trouble with, is having those documents Trump claimed on tape were still classified, at a different location, and discussing if not showing them to others.
I don't think anyone other than Trump would have been charged with any of this, but he's not a sympathetic figure, even to many Republicans and/or conservatives.
It isnt about documents.. they have tfied to stop him for 7 years and documents is Ll they can work with.
There is biden and family taking 10 million from nations and doing favors.
Plus money laundering.
Plus all joe can get out of the vp post from those he can blackmail.
The justice ijn the gov is corrupted.. they are interfering with an election
The charge could be felony jay walking and a DC jury would convict.
However a conviction is not the end of this.
I think at some point the Supreme Court will get involved since the charges are really nothing more the weaponizing the justice system against a political opponent.
As political as the court is I can not imagine the liberals on the court are willing to expose their own to this sort of prosecution. But then again, liberals often do things that hurt them more then help so who knows anymore.
Just remember Trump did not commit suicide!
With the Ukraine countercounteroffensive falling on it's face, upstaging warpigs like you, how can I not be?
Grow up. FR is not an echo chamber.
And you never answered the question I posed. What SPECIFICALLY is wrong with the analysis by McCarthy? Instead, you dismiss -anything- that McCarthy writes or says - that's not exactly intellectual rigor.
Trump is fine. There will be voter nullifcation followed by Trump-47 pardoning himself and all other political prisoners.
F Andrew McCarthy. Once a putz always a putz. The guy hasn’t been right about anything in years. I really don’t understand why any conservative would listen to him blat.
Not the first time weve heard this👍🏻
Andy McCarthy is a mouthpiece for the GOPe, and their purpose is to destroy Trump.
Even if the “charges” have validity the Presidential Records Act makes it a civil case not criminal..
What basis is there for a US Supreme Court intervention in this matter?
Donate to the Trump campaign.
jack Smith and his previous prosecutions have been ripe with prosecutorial misconduct. The people will have their say. The chance that this case won’t go until after the election is good.

He is an outstanding example of the Peter Principle.
One thing I’ve noticed about prosecutions over my lifetime is that if the prosecution over-reaches, the thing they can’t prove invalidates what they can prove. In my non-lawyer opinion, it is better to leave out the things you can’t prove if you have something you can prove that achieves the result you’re looking for. The result in this case is they want to knock Trump out of the running for any political office. In my opinion they unsealed their gotcha much too early. They should have waited until Trump won the primaries. This is a case of premature ejaculation if there ever was one.
The FBI is saying that a sitting president saw something that can’t be released. Under any circumstances. And Trump took that document. What is the document that Trump has and they can’t afford and any cost to let the world see? I say they release all the documents to the American people and we get to judge Trump. Who is the criminal the FBI or Trump.
These people have homes.
