Not one of his best. He was a brilliant man. Conservative-libertarian mixture. I met him and we corresponded off an on. He had Alzheimer’s and sadly died not too long after.

My favorite non sf book of his was oddly the old book The Money Personality. Nonfiction about his meeting with several childhood friends and learning how they became extremely wealthy. Not a self-help moneymaking book despite the title.

Many lines stand out such as it is no use trying to convince an adult to change their mind about politics or anything else. They believe they have gone over the various points involved and their conclusion is the only right one, so your arguments will only annoy them about how wrong you are.

That one reminds me “Don’t try to teach a pig to play the piano. You will not eventually succeed but it will annoy the pig.” Good for interactions with Democrats.

Another. Confirm everything by repeating to someone in a transaction. “So when I bring my next dry cleaning order here Saturday I get 50% off with this coupon?” “No, weekdays only.”
