When I first watched that movie, in a air-conditioned theater on a hot July day when it was a new release, the audience cheered at that moment. I have to think it was a commentary on the Clinton Administration.

The loud boom that was heard across the DMV area was caused by an authorized DOD flight. This flight caused a sonic boom. That is all the information available at this time.

If you didn’t feel a ground shock first and then hear an explosion, then it was a sonic boom or above ground blast. I guess.
