Graduates booed and turned their chairs away from former U.S Rep. Liz Cheney as she delivered the commencement address at Colorado College on Sunday.
Cheney repeated her fierce criticisms of former President Trump but steered clear of talking about his 2024 reelection campaign or her own political future.
The Wyoming Republican blasted her House Republican colleagues for not doing enough to combat Trump's lies that the 2020 election was stolen.
Cheney implored the new college graduates to not compromise when it comes to the truth and blasted one of the election-denying attorneys who worked for Trump after the election for allegedly telling a gathering of Republicans that 'it is crucially important to make sure that college students don't vote.'
One graduate's message to Cheney was splashed on her cap. It read: 'Why listen to a racist, imperialist, transphobic, war monger?? Your hate is loud.'

They hated her because shes not liberal enough. Its mind boggling.
Damn those kids! Their rudeness has gone and made me actually feel sorry for Liz Cheney.
I don’t like Liz (Jan 6 Star Chamber) Cheney, but
I think it’s wrong to treat invited speakers in that manner.
You may as well ‘Moon’ her. There are better ways to express one’s displeasure with the commencement speaker.
Bad manners.
Some of the kids are booing because she has an “R” after her name and they are too stupid to realize she’s one of them. We boo her for that. Also, why do the jackasses have to talk politics in their speeches? Good grief, it’s suppose to be a pep talk to the kids as they go out in the future as adults. This really makes me angry.
Totally agree. I would have just skipped the speech altogether and return to pick up my diploma. Also, if I did what they did, my parents would have been appalled, and both were staunch conservatives.
Is it? Much of it is about her dad and his wars. Is that hard to understand?
Exactly! How dare she openly oppose abortion!

Good. She needs to learn that selling out her own side makes her no friends.
My parents would have been furious with me.
My Graduation Celebration Supper with the shole family in a sit down restaurant would have been canceled.
Plumber, Electrician, Welder, Millwright, Heavy Equipment Operator, Boiler Mechanic, Pilot, all make $100K per year. Unless you become a doctor, lawyer, CPA, or such, college just proves you failed at formulating a cost / benefit analysis in your career / life decisions.
How utterly delightful. Wish I could have been there to show her my opinion.
“Graduates boo and turn their chairs away from former U.S Rep. Liz Cheney...”
Glad I don’t support her on Ukraine.
Why have a political figure address college commencement? How about an historian, mathematician, physicist or some other figure related to education?
The Communists used you Lizard and now you have been thrown away now that you are no longer useful.
Your Republican ‘colleagues’ did not want you to lie Ms. Cheney. They just wanted you to acknowledge the immense amount of voting irregularities that occurred in that election. You couldn’t, because you were driven by hate and ambition - which is a very bad combination.
That said, your response to those graduates who were so predictable in their manipulated views should have been to point out just that - that their views were manipulated and that going forward in life they should take every opportunity to avoid being manipulated and instead think for themselves. You missed that opportunity.
I’m glad I disagree with her too!
Yeah, why not feature those people instead of politicians or celebrities?!
