Hey there, radu!
I had a lot more energy today than the last 2 days! Also, we got 3/8” of rain which really perked me up. :) There was a little bit of hail, but not big ones, so that was ok.
Are you back to normal, too? :)

I used to live in Radford and twice while I was there the plant had major explosions. Both times it shook my house which was 5 or more miles away.

We just got back from visiting our kids and having lunch with Allegra at Health Camp in Waco. Good times! Always so good to meet up with a FReeper in person, especially one like luvie. We hadn’t seen each other in over a decade. And it was a delight to finally meet her husband as well. (And yay, rain!)
I’m glad you’re having a nice break, laurenmarlowe. Have a great rest of your trip!
And I hope all is well with all of you.

Ooooooo! You got some rain? Great!! I can see how that perked you up. What a boost to the spirits.
Everything but my bum back is back to normal. I did a number on it mowing the yard at the other house last week, hitting a couple of holes and being bounced too hard. I NEED to mow this week but I don’t know if I’ll be able to. It’s hard enough to just walk.

Howdy, Allegra.
I’m still jealous about the meet-up Saturday. LOL Getting together with other FReepers is always fun and I haven’t had that opportunity in quite a while.
I’m glad you and luvie got to tough base in person again after so long.

Ouch! Maybe you should flag the worst holes so you know when to slow down so as not to bounce so hard. That’s got to really hurt!
I always love a rainy day, and this one was not in the prediction, so it was a bonus one.

I have always loved meeting FReeper FRiends! Saturday was so fun, I just know we’re going to do it again. It would be even more fun if you could be there, radu.
I know you can’t because of the kitties, but we can dream. :)

I know where those holes are now. And I know not to mow over there in a hurry any more. It’s been years since I last mowed that yard and it’s a lot bumpier now than it was then, and definitely bumpier than this yard.
I’m not as hot on rainy days as you are unless we’ve had a long spell. Saturday was miserable here with it raining all day and being chilly. It barely broke 60 at the museum and wasn’t much warmer down here.
I’m surprised you didn’t say you went out to dance in your rain today. LOL As dry as it’s been there, your whole neighborhood should have been out there dancing. :-)

Yeah, I don’t get to go anywhere unless it’s somewhere close by. Da kittehs hold me prisoner. LOL I could give them up and go anywhere I wanted but then I’d have no one to come home to. It would be mighty lonely here without my babies. Plus it would be selfish to give them up just to have fun. I wouldn’t have gotten through losing Hubby last fall as well as I did if not for the cats. They kept me going.

Well, it WAS hailing along with the rain, so it wouldn’t have been a fun dance. LOL! And, I don’t like getting wet.
I’m glad you know where the bumps are now. Not fun getting jarred when there aren’t nice cushy shocks on the vehicle.
If it weren’t for my friend’s promise to cat sit when she talked me into adopting Peaches and Ginger, I’d be held prisoner too. Her MIL did it for me a few times when the friend wasn’t available, but she can barely walk now, so I can’t ask her to. I don’t trust anyone else.
I know they were and are a welcome distraction during this time of mourning for you. I can’t even imagine......

They are great little comforters. I’m so sorry you’re going through that. Sending up another prayer and sending you a big cyber-hug. 🤗

Yeah, the hail would’ve taken a little fun out of a rain dance. LOL
I don’t mind getting wet as long as it’s warm. I do mind bringing wet groceries in the house and that’s the only reason I won’t shop in the rain.
Yep, it helps to know where those holes are and I know now that I HAVE to go slow in that yard. I can go pretty fast over here except in a few spots.
If I only had two or three cats, I could board them at the vet clinic in order to take off for a few days but there’s no way to board 25 cats. That would break the bank. LOL

“Only” 25? Wow. I didn’t know you’d lost that many these past few years. I remember when you had 40 or more? Or is my brain faulty?

They’re wonderful little comforters, no doubt. Even though they can be aggravating at times. LOL I love those silly critters dearly.
Life is pretty much back on track now. I still miss Hubby but don’t dwell on it any more. One must look forward and live life as best they can and make the most of it while they can. That’s what I’m trying to do. No one knows when their number will be called.
The cats are a good motivator. I gotta outlive them. Who else will love them as much and put up with their antics? LOL

Your brain isn’t faulty. Several have been lost over the past few years. I lost 5 last year and have lost 2 this year. A lot of them are old and there’ll be more losses the next couple of years, I’d say. But they’ll be loved and spoiled as long as they’re here. >^..^<

Did you and Gizmo have a smaller crowd to contend with at the lake yesterday?

Your kitties are very lucky to have such love in their little lives.
Peaches keeps telling me it’s time to shut down and go to sleep...and I’m inclined to do just that. See ya tomorrow. Just gotta pick a quiz when I get up tomorrow.
