Howdy everyone!
Still on North Carolina time and having a blast with the kiddos.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
*HUGS*
Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
Howdy, lauren! *Hugz*
Glad you’re having a great time with the family. A nice, long break with them is just what you needed.
Thanks for tonight’s Road Trip, Lauren!
Bible in a Year:
Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.
It’s like living in a dream you can’t wake up from. People who struggle with what’s sometimes called “derealization” or “depersonalization” often feel like nothing around them is quite real. While those who chronically have this feeling can be diagnosed with a disorder, it’s believed to be a common mental health struggle, especially during stressful times. But sometimes the feeling persists even when life is seemingly good. It’s as if our minds can’t trust that good things are really happening.
Scripture describes a similar struggle of God’s people at times to experience His power and deliverance as something real, not just a dream. In Acts 12, when an angel delivers Peter from prison—and possible execution (vv. 2, 4)—the apostle is described as being in a daze, not sure it was really happening (vv. 9–10). When the angel left him outside the jail, Peter finally “came to his senses” and realized it had all been real (v. 11 nlt).
In both bad times and good, it can be hard sometimes to fully believe or experience that God is really at work in our lives. But we can trust that as we wait on Him, His resurrection power will one day become undeniably, wonderfully real. God’s light will rouse us from our sleep into the reality of life with Him (Ephesians 5:14).
Reflect & Pray
Why is it sometimes hard for you to feel God’s power and love? How can you experience His love more tangibly?
Dear God, thank You that in good times and bad, whether I can feel it or not, You’re real, creating new life and hope.
Howdy, PRO.
How was your weekend? I hope your weather was nicer than ours was so you could get outside a bit. Yesterday wasn’t too bad here but Saturday sucked pond water. Miserable day.
Thanks, unique, for the road trippers!

Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS))))
Good weekend, visited Robin and son and the pups, did a bit of yardwork too.
We did get a bit of that Canadian forest fire smoke in our area late last week but the wind took it away quickly.
Not much else happening, you get to the museum? Kittehs being good?
I was a student at Radford College in 1978(?) when the arsenal blew.
It flashed, rumbled and shook our windows five miles away. This was early in the morning as I recall, I was a hung over college student and very confused as to what was going on, the flash was so bright thru my window it woke me and I thought someone had snapped a Polaroid picture. Then came the rumble. I learned what happened on the radio.
.And thank you for today's Road Trip: Radford Army Ammunition Plant, Virginia.
Good evening, radu...hope you had a nice dry day.
The morning started out really sunny, but has been sketchy most of the day. I haven’t heard anything about rain, but the sky at my house looks like we could get some. One can hope.
Glad you’re having fun. We just got back from visiting our kids and having lunch with Allegra at Health Camp in Waco. Good times!
It's been a pretty nice day up there though it looks a little breezy and it seems to be picking up more. I hope you managed to take a few minutes for lunch outside on the deck to soak in a little sunshine.
It's certainly been a busy day at both airports and it's been more fun for us cam viewers than normal. TWO DreamLifters came and went, on refueling stops, and the Grumman Goose headed out for a couple of hours.
Bet that was a thrill for the guys who were there to watch all the activity.
The Grumman Widgeon just took off a few minutes ago but there was no cam op to zoom in and follow it. :-( At least we could see it go past the cam. A banner day at Lake Hood.
Oof! Our definitions of enjoyable are a little different. LOL Up to 80 is fine but over 80 is out of the comfort range. But then you have drier air than I do and that makes a lot of difference.
Sounds like a good weekend. Still helping Robin pant flowers or does she already have what she wants in place?
Nice that the wildfire smoke didn’t stick around long. We had some here the past couple of days but not bad enough to smell it. Enough to make the sky a little hazy and crank up the sinuses a little more than usual. It’s about outta here now. Whew!
Friday was a bit sow at the museum, as usual, but we had several folks show up Saturday. Probably would have had more if the weather hadn’t been so wet and chilly. It sure didn’t feel like May.
It supposed to be really nice next weekend and I hope we have a good turnout, it being Memorial Day Weekend.
The kittehs being good? HA! Once in a while, yes, but most if the time there’s some sort of mischief going on. LOL
Hey there, Kathy.
We were dry today but our sky was about the same as yours has been. Some sunshine but cloudy a lot of the time. Not windy like you’ve been today though. The lake is pretty ruffled up.
You’ve got rain south of you and headed your way. I hope it holds up and gives you a good dose. You could use it.
Howdy, luvie.
Feeling a bit more back to normal now?
