GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A Gwinnett County home invasion backfired on the suspects when police say the homeowner shot and killed one of them, leading to the other two suspects now facing charges for their friend’s death.
Myles Coston, 19, faced a judge Wednesday charged with felony murder from the shooting that happened April 23. Geno Hall, 20, is also in jail charged with felony murder. Investigators believe that their accomplice, Leon Summers, was shot and killed because of the felony home invasion that Coston and Hall were involved in.
The victim and the suspects exchanged gunfire, according to police, killing Summers and injuring the victim. The homeowner is not expected to face any charges.

About 10 yrs ago, there was a 90 yr old widow near my mother in law’s house that shot at someone who was trying to come into her open window at night.
She can leave every single window open now and NO ONE will even THINK of going near her home. You don’t mess with Georgians in the country. Not. At. All.

Me as well. Deliberate actions that result in pain usually discourages others from mimicking that action.
If you peruse other stories at the WSBtv site on a regular basis, you will see that crime is increasing in Atlanta and surrounding suburbs and there are more and more shootings each day. However, there is also more stories of victims fighting back.
Now you just need bigger holes. :-)

Once you get the reputation as the crazy old lady (or man—or couple), who has a gun and will shoot at anyone who invades your space, other Georgians tend to live you alone. (Or at least make sure they are welcome before dropping by).
It’s not that we are anti-social. Of course not. It’s just that we have boundaries and expect them to be respected.

The three home invaders are black yooofs. The homeowner who shot them could be black, white, Samoan. Anything.
There’s a reason why people in Gwinnett County never approved the MARTA train to be built in their county. They understood what MARTA really stands for.
