Man, you don’t F with Georgia.

About 10 yrs ago, there was a 90 yr old widow near my mother in law’s house that shot at someone who was trying to come into her open window at night.

She can leave every single window open now and NO ONE will even THINK of going near her home. You don’t mess with Georgians in the country. Not. At. All.

Once you get the reputation as the crazy old lady (or man—or couple), who has a gun and will shoot at anyone who invades your space, other Georgians tend to live you alone. (Or at least make sure they are welcome before dropping by).

It’s not that we are anti-social. Of course not. It’s just that we have boundaries and expect them to be respected.

When he was a young man, Japanese admiral Isoroku Yamamoto studied at Harvard. Yamamoto later planned the Pearl Harbor sneak attack.

Someone once remarked that Yamamoto should have gone to the University of Georgia instead. After a few days there he’d be too frightened to even think about attacking the United States.
