Intervene, and you might save an innocent. Or you might find yourself in jail or in the hospital or in the morgue.
That’s why many people choose to just stand there, and not be heroic.
I will not applaud such cowardice/self-preservation (your choice) but I will not condemn it either.
However, I would expect good people to call 911, and film the event so as to provide evidence for the police.
