IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel said Monday that Black taxpayers may be getting audited at significantly higher rates than non-Black taxpayers.
“Our initial findings support the conclusion that Black taxpayers may be audited at higher rates than would be expected given their share of the population,” Werfel wrote to Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden (D-Ore.).
A study out of Stanford University that found audit rates could be as much as five times higher for Black taxpayers than white taxpayers. Wyden asked Werfel to investigate the matter after the latter took the helm of the federal tax collection agency earlier this year.

That’s the most slappable face I’ve ever seen. A good smack would straighten his smile right up.
Why did they put this out at the same time that biden told a bunch of students that the biggest problem is White Supremacy? To prepare our minds for the big one: reparations.
Will they have a little check box on the tax form for “Specially privileged member of America’s perpetual victim group”?
Check it and you don’t get audited.
That’s because they already know your race from the countless forms you’ve filled out.
The workforce at the IRS is majority-minority, far blacker than the USA.
The statistic that matters most was, of course, not mentioned (what percentage of those audited actually merited an audit).
Maybe because many “accidentally” forget to report some of their income for which the IRS has W2 and/or 1099 forms from the payers. Yes, the IRS doublechecks and cross checks their records to pick up anomalies such as non-reporting or misreporting,
They made the program that extracts what they want to prove. Kinda like the climate change cr**.
They did the same thing with the police, the SAT exams, the Oscars, you name it, so why not the IRS?
You’re pragmatic and analytical, all the hallmarks of a racist!!
So the Democrats are racist against Blacks? Who would have thought?
Blacks on welfare would not be audited.
Blacks making big money in sports or entertainment would probably be audited often, just like any other race making big money in sports of entertainment.
Blacks making big money in drugs and by other illegal means may or may not be audited to the extent that the IRS knows they’re there.
The majority of Blacks, who live “normal” lives like citizens of any race, would not be audited more often than any other race, unless the IRS would actually know the race and decide that way, in which case the IRS is racist and needs fewer auditors, not 78,000 more.
Blantent lie. Notice the weasel word “may.” This was put out to support Lieden’s white supremacy lie. They want a civil war.
Very good point.
The Hill would know that if they bothered to do anything but re-print DNC talking points.
This must be racist or something.

Ya Think????
No proof. No evidence. Just sheer racial pandering by some white liberal man trying to get some street cred.
87,000 more time now, but most of them voted for it.
Me neither...maybe they REDLINE???
That would be way too funny...
This is the IRS doing their part to forward the blacks are targeted narrative. Biden’s commencement speech, the FIB conduct two fraudulent White Supremacists events and now this. Ignore the economic dumpster fire, the invasion, the Biden influence peddling and focus on the victimized blacks
“likely”
in other words, they’re just making up another fictional ‘racism’ story to stir up the masses.
I haven’t noticed a line on my 1040 titled “enter race here”

Exactly!
Unless the IRS keep a secret log of all taxpayers by race. Without that, where would the IRS get the information to make an assessment of who is getting audited at a higher. Pure race baiting at it’s finest by the communist regime running this country.
