Pope Francis raised some eyebrows while discussing sex abusers, whom he labeled “children of God” who deserve love and “pastoral care” — as well revolting “enemies” who must be punished.
The pontiff made his remarks last month during a private meeting with a group of Jesuit priests in Hungary, but they were only published Tuesday by La Civilta Cattolica, an Italian Jesuit journal.
“How do we approach, how do we talk to the abusers for whom we feel revulsion? Yes, they too are children of God. But how can you love them?” Francis was quoted as saying.

If the pope really said this, then he’s seriously confused.
Anti-pope anyway
Who has the blue turban?
All are fake, as is the Vatican.
And Jesus called hypocritical religious leaders in His day children of their father the devil.
No, not all people are children of God. God is everyone’s creator but that does not by default make them His children.
Jesus called people far less repulsive “snakes” and “vipers” and kicked them out of the temple forcibly
Christ says we are to love our enemies, and pray for our persecutors. Note that "love" is not mindless approval, or fondness, or chumminess. Love is rather the conscious choice to pursue the authentic good of the beloved. The most important "authentic good" of an individual is eternity in heaven.
Ought we to love child abusers, that is, ought we help them to get to heaven? Of course. The first step in helping them is preventing them from committing their peculiar sin again, and the second is to bring them to authentic repentance and to commit to making restitution for the wrong they have done.
What the Pope said seems largely or completely consistent with what I said.
(And some who are not baptized are as well, but that's for God to figure out.)
If they don't act like one, that's a guilt that they will explain at their particular judgement.
Bible: abomination
Pope: love
True, they are children of God, but they need to undertake the path of repentance, how?, recognize that they have caused harm to someone, feeling remorse for what they have done, then repair the damage caused and not return to the same vices; Will any of them accept these conditions?
“Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.”
John 8:42
NOT the Pope. This PoS is pure evil.
Will ‘perversion is good’ appear in a ‘new bible’ by history changers/ fact checkers?
I’m sure suckerborg will help.
So that’s your Vicar of Christ, eh Romanists?
People blame the Jews for everything when it really the Jesuits and free masons
OMG! How can you Catholics continue to allow satans demon to lead your church? You should be demanding his resignation
Hate the sin love the sinner. Not exactly a new doctrine. Of course they used to say that while stringing people up. But we’ve mellowed.
That’s your belief, not mine. Mine is that Christ didn’t waste everyone’s time by instituting (and commanding!) sacraments that didn’t do anything.
