Two trend lines extend into the future. One tracks government's increased oppression, surveillance, and social control. The other tracks people's rising spiritual faith, desire for personal freedom, and determination that government should leave them alone. This is our reality. It also exposes the chink in totalitarianism's armor. The greater the government's coercion, the more convinced a growing share of the population becomes that illegitimate government must go.

Talk of WWIII brings thoughts of troop movements, electric grid collapse, and nuclear conflagration, but unlike the wars of last century, this one is first and foremost for control of individual minds. I see people divorced from reality every time I venture into the more densely populated areas. There may be something to Jefferson’s call for an agrarian society.
If you want to understand why America is getting crazier/weirder you have to understand that a dying country/Empire will use Propaganda to get the People to ‘fight amongst themselves instead of fighting their government’.... Most divisive issues Americans fight over are shallow and manufactured.
They are very effective at getting people to hate each other over superfluous things that people have no need to hate each other over.
They’ve weaponized it like the Serpent of old…too busy hating someone else to hate the real author of your troubles (in this case, the government that steals from you daily to enrich and empower itself).
It’s been there in human nature since Cain murdered Abel. Maybe even a tad earlier. The Serpent’s ways…
