The 2014 coup was the start of all this horror.

The invasion of Crimea & Maidan Revolution happened in 2014 during Obama. The Afghanistan catastrophe & subsequent invasion of eastern Ukraine under Biden.

Those are the only two administration critics of whats happening to Ukraine should be talking about.

Trump publicly confirmed the Obama State Dept was behind the Maidan uprising in Ukraine [which has led to all of this mess].

https://youtube.com/watch?v=Q2Ta5gCw1xA&feature=share

Obama/Biden/Nuland were against Ukrainian sovereignty in 2014 before they were for it in Feb. 2022.

This is true.

Russia trashed the START1 treaty, the Lisbon Protocol and the Budapest Memorandum, when they invaded in 2014.

Obozo did nothing.

No, it goes back quite a bit further than that, since Russia tried to assassinate the elected President of Ukraine in 2004 because the Ukrainians dared to elect someone who wouldn’t be a Putin puppet.

I think Maher’s epiphany is based on his realization that his options were limited being an echo chamber for the left. All of a sudden he’s thinking.

Zero evidence Russia was behind the poisoning of Victor Yushchenko was was NOT president when he was poisoned.

The only commodity Russia has is oil and every time the $100 per barrel threshold was crossed Russia attacked. Oil has to drop below $60 for an extended period of time to get Putin to pull back because he can’t afford to fight. Of course Biden isn’t going to allow oil to get that cheap since it would hurt his “green” agenda.

The 2014 coup was the start of all this horror.
—————
……and the whole world knows this, from the UN to the US. In fact, there were at least three movies made about the Donbass slaughter by the Ukie Azov units back in 2015. The war has never ended, and most of the low information types simply have no idea or recollection, thus the mass delusion infecting Biden’s war cheerleaders.

In fact, much of the the difficulties Vlad has had in ousting the Ukies from the Russian provinces stem from the Ukies HUGE fortifications they have built since 2014…..eight years of preparing for war with Russia……from Sumy down to southern Donetsk, much funded by the US, with McCain visiting Ukraine many times to “ check” the progress and increase funding.

So there you have it, what we know:
Vlad simply will NOT give up the ethnic Russian provinces, ever….and the collective West can do nothing about it.

War cheerleaders, get used to it, you have been deceived by Biden yet again.

It might not have been the start, but it sure played a large role. And that’s one thing about the modern United States. We simply have to interfere everywhere.

Kinda like the old British Empire. And that’s one reason Britain today is a broke and hollow country.

And as a side note, the Monroe Doctrine actually had two parts. Europe was warned not to interfere in the Americas. And in return we would not interfere in Europe. Funny how we break the second part but still expect Europe to honor the first part.

The Russian resolve is huge. The low information types have no recollection of the Odessa Trade Union fire, in 2014, where the Azov Ukies barricaded Russian citizens in it then set fire to it. A massacre, Vlad and his people will never forget.

That is precisely why banners across the Russian Federation are seen stating
“ remember Odesa”, “Liberate Odesa”, etc….unfortunately, many Russians want justice, their pound of flesh.

…….so there you have it,……Odessa next?

The Ivy-league idiots are in charge of our foreign policy and they push the uniparty agenda so those who fund them make lots of money. The financial opportunities in the Ukraine are endless for the same people who made so much money in the sandbox. How else do you explain the trillions we spent in the “war on terror” when the countries we occupied had infrastructure worth billions?

It sure did not go to the young men and women who served.

The opportunities dried up Iraq and Afghanistan and like clockwork the Ukraine went up in flames. Follow the $$$$

“Zero evidence Russia was behind the poisoning of Victor Yushchenko...”

Sure, sure, except for the fact that Russia was the only one with motive, and the fact that Russia routinely poisons its political enemies. Oh, and the fact that he was most likely poisoned while dining with the Ukrainian intelligence chief, who was a Russian citizen and KGB asset.

I will not defend Putin’s invasion. I see it as a war crime. Russia’s invasion is not all that much different than Germany’s occupation of the Sudetenland. (I grant that not everyone will see it that way.)

But by golly, your statement above is not just 99% correct, it is 100% correct. It’s reality. Folks who demand the return of those provinces are either hopelessly naive or secretly want never-ending war.

Trump has said that he would be able to swiftly negotiate an end to the conflict. But he gave no details. It would be interesting to know how he’d handle those provinces.

My personal approach would be to have Russia buy those provinces from Ukraine, much like how the United States bought the Gadsden territory from Mexico. That way everyone saves face.

Re: Afghanistan, people have it exactly 180 degrees backwards. Biden (well, he doesn’t decide anything) left in chaos because the Pentagon expected a war in Ukraine at any time. They didn’t want US soldiers trapped in Afghanistan, in what everyone had recognized years ago was a useless venture.

Remember their fake claims that Putin was giving the Taliban “bounties” on US soldiers, and that Trump allowed it? It was pure projection - they feared it, once war with Russia and China was confirmed.

Its All Over Except ...: "Trump publicly confirmed the Obama State Dept was behind the Maidan uprising in Ukraine [which has led to all of this mess]."

Thanks for your link!

As always, DJT has it exactly right.
But... but, if you listen carefully, HE DID NOT SAY what you claim here.
What he said was, "Victoria Nuland pushing Ukraine towards NATO, not to mention, the state department support for uprisings in Ukraine..."

Trump DID NOT SAY the US secretly engineered or "was behind" uprisings in Ukraine.
As for pushing Ukraine towards NATO, in the year 2000 both Ukraine and Russia were on a path to NATO membership, encouraged by US President Slick and many Europeans.
By 2004 Russian Pres. Vladimir Putin was putting Russia on a different path, but Ukraine and other Eastern European countries remained on a path to NATO membership.

It's certainly true to say, as Trump does, that the US supported NATO membership and 2014 uprisings in Ukraine.
It's not necessarily true that means the US secretly engineered or "was behind" those events.

I would give Ukrainians credit for knowing what they themselves wanted in 2014.

Typical neo-liberal BS...Russia, Russia, Russia.

There were plenty of folks in Ukraine who didn't want Yushchenko in office...including the current President Leonid Kuchma.
