Bob Zeidman wasn’t after the $5 million. It was something else that just didn’t sit right with him. That’s why he felt he had to challenge the 2020 election conspiracy theories espoused by Mike Lindell, the My Pillow chief executive.
“Really, my whole career has been spent looking for truth, even when the truth wasn’t what I wanted it to be,” said Zeidman, 63, the Summerlin software forensics expert awarded a $5 million prize last week. Ruling in Zeidman’s favor, an arbitration panel gave him the cash, saying the lifelong conservative disproved data Lindell presented in his “Prove Mike Wrong Challenge” during a cyber symposium Aug. 10-12, 2021,
At that Sioux Falls, South Dakota, symposium, Lindell provided data he claimed showed 2020 election fraud and issued his challenge. Under rules of the challenge set forth by Lindell, anyone disproving the data he provided would win $5 million.
Zeidman was one of the attendees. “I went there thinking I’d see this voter fraud,” Zeidman said Wednesday. “What I was seeing was not legitimate.”
*** “This data isn’t right,” Zeidman said, recalling what he told the My Pillow representatives. “Is there some reason for this?”
What happened then was the people who took Zeidman seriously were fired by Lindell. *** The arbitration panel said in its ruling that Zeidman and other contestants were not required to disprove election interference. Their task was to prove the data presented to them was not valid data from the November 2020 election. In short, the arbitration panel said Lindell’s data was unrelated to the 2020 election.
Zeidman said he doesn’t expect to see any of the $5 million. With Lindell facing lawsuits from Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic, Zeidman said the My Pillow CEO would most likely declare bankruptcy. ***
Zeidman, who voted for Donald Trump in 2020, said he’s had some Democrats applaud his move. Some Republicans, he said, have come out to say they disapprove. “But most Republicans I’ve talked to, when they understand why I did it, they congratulate me,” ***
Free and fair elections are a thing of the past.
Well there we have it! Clearly there was no election fraud in 2020. Trump lost legitimately, as is evidenced by this and all the lawsuits that were tossed. Time to move forward!
Lindell probably won’t pay a dime. He’s already said he wants to take this to court to appeal the arbitration. But the con man who sold him the garbage data surely already got paid.
Am I missing something? It sounds like Lindell is accused of inventing phony data about Nov 2020 and then saying, "if you prove that this is phony data, I'll give you $5M"?
Anyway, where are the fines for the “Russian Disinformation” hoax?
Does ANYBODY actually believe that 81 million living American citizens freely, willingly, and knowingly cast one vote each for Joe Biden?
He suitcases of ballots.
Nope. While I don’t trust the dominion machines, the fraud happened at the lack of control over voter registration and ballot distribution and control at the counting. This country should never forget 4am.
“Does ANYBODY actually believe that 81 million living American citizens freely, willingly, and knowingly cast one vote each for Joe Biden?”
Nope.
what exactly was wrong with the election data?
was any data collected on mail-in ballots that weren’t signed?
how many were from dead people?
how many from phoney addresses?
how many had multiple votes from the same location?
etc etc
The Fraud was in the Mass Mail Out Ballots And Drop Boxes,
Not in Lindell’s Dominion Software. The Less of Lindell, the Better.
No, but it was damn near close enough for them to create a few million to toss him over the edge.
Corrupt arbitration panel. Dozens of real experts verified Lindell.
Which experts?
“contestants were not required to disprove election interference”
So, they did not disprove election interference.
The charge still stands, uncontested, from any source.
More of the same Move On mantra.
then even videos prior to 2020 election and comments by dems about concerns about machines etc I read prior to 202 election and after - were all false/fake?
No I don’t have them handy to share. there were a number of them showing how machines could be messed with, flip votes, not secure, all that is false, not able to be done?
To sat there were issues possible years before 2020 election, and increasingly see weird results in elections (various years) and now they say nope not a problem with machines?
There certainly was election fraud in 2020 (see my tagline). But Lindell didn’t have evidence of it. Instead, it looks like has was sold a bunch of gibberish.
This whole mess is going to be very damaging to election fraud claims going forward. It’s the whole ‘Boy Who Cried Wolf’ story.
Lindell’s heart was in the right place. But he forgot the second half of Reagan’s famous advice: Trust, but verify.
Can’t be forced to pay. It’s not different than a friendly bet reneged on made in a sports bar.
