I can think of others. But that one is pretty odious.
In my time on FR, the only other time I agreed with the idea of giving a boot was the Crevo crowd about 15 years ago.

Seems like everyone’s first reaction is that this firing is in response to something that HAS happened. (Dominion?, etc.)

This is terrible.
I guess he’ll get to Newsmax, maybe.
As it is, this is a bad talk-show week for me.
My favorite local host just got booted, didn’t even know until his last day, Friday. Little warning. He’s replaced today with INTERIM people - was it that bad that they couldn’t let him finish another week?
He’s being replaced by a lady I like, so we’ll see. She is now known on the national stage because of her outspoken campaign and views on Baltimore.
But the suddeness leaves me empty.
