Charges against Alec Baldwin have been dropped in the fatal on-set "Rust" shooting, according to sources familiar with the matter. Baldwin, 65, had been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter after fatally shooting cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, on the New Mexico set of the Western in October 2021.

Baldwin started up production again for the movie “Rust” and changed the location to the Yellowstone studios in Montana. That is one movie I will never watch.

I don’t like Alec the man, as I have presumed his character to be, but I think it is a good thing that he and Hilaria have all those young children to raise.
All those kids were wanted. All will be well provided for, and likely exposed to the performing arts.
Being a family man is going to reduce some of the bitterness Alec will feel ftom becoming primarily known as “the aging actor who killed that woman because he didn’t check his stage prop gun”.
He picked up a gun, didn’t check to see if it was loaded, pointed it at a person, and pulled the trigger. All intentional acts. How is this not a crime.
I’m guessing that PR wouldn’t look good and he’d like to put this all behind him, but that is a possibility

Exactly. He also skipped the on-set firearms safety training. The person holding the weapon assumes responsibility for making sure it is safe. Baldwin's actions in this case are, by definition, negligent homicide.
Not a fan of Bruce but he has his moments.
More a indictment of our times.
