Business owner flees Chicago crime chaos: 'Employees are being held up'
Fox News ^ | April 19, 2023 | Maria Lencki

A Chicago business owner says he is fleeing the crime-infested city because leaders are "supporting anarchy" and he "can't put up with it any longer."

"Our employees are being held up for their wallets and their phones at gunpoint," Rabine Group founder Gary Rabine told "America Reports" on Wednesday. "It's just not worth it anymore, the danger. You know, we are very safety-oriented company, and we can't put up with it any longer."

Rabine, who has built business in the Chicago area for over 40 years, says his customers and employees do not want to live in the Windy City anymore.

"It's a terrible place to be and we've got a governor and a mayor and a future mayor in the city who are promoting this anarchy," he said. "If you watch the messaging from our governor and from the past mayor, and even more so the new mayor, it's all about, you know, basically reparations, right? It's okay to rob and pillage and steal. You're not going to get in any trouble, and it's just a great form of reparations in the mindset of this new mayor and the governor has done nothing to stop either."

-snip

"This anarchy is not going to stop as long as we have terrible leaders like Brandon Johnson, J.B. Pritzker and Lori Lightfoot," he said. "It will not change. It's only going to get worse...I have family members and loved ones that live in the city. They all want out and are getting out, great employees across my companies...will rather be in any state in the country than Illinois. This was never the case five years ago and back. There's an urgent issue here of change. It's not going to happen, unfortunately, with terrible leadership that we have."

Chicago is America’s Mogadishu...

And as long as the imbeciles who live there continue to vote for an escalating level of depravity and wickedness - it will only get worse. Sadly, I believe Chicago is a lost cause.

I think the city should pick a street corner and do a PPV and make some money of the descent into anarchy. They could have some sort of off track betting on how many eat lead and how. Sort of like Running Man....to bad Richard Dawson is dead

Toward the end of the Roman Empire people fled the chaos of the cities. Then the Visigoths invaded.

Toward the end of the Byzantine Empire people who had the money fled for country villas. Shortly thereafter the Turks invaded.

This is how it is supposed to be. It’s a feature not a bug.

Prepare accordingly, better yet, become the new Turks or Visigoths.

People once believed that about New York. Then they elected mayors like Ed Koch (Democrat) and Rudi Giuliani (Republican) and things made a dramatic turnaround before a majority of voters got stuck on stupid again.

We get that for which we vote. Barring that, we get the evil that fills the vacuum (when we refuse to fight for the right).

Dems have a high tolerance level (and full hypocrisy) for supporting Dem candidates again and again while whining at the water cooler about how their daughter was carjacked, they were mugged and their house was robbed. But still live in urban paradise under utopian Dem leadership.

And “employees getting held up” is NOT new.
National Review had an article in the 1990s in which the writer went to his street parked car and daily saw little blue pieces of glass up and down the street. Finally someone told him “Those are from the thieves breaking the windows of cars and stealing stuff or the cars themselves.” He learned hundreds of fellow workers just shrugged, paid higher insurance and went on with life. Placid and passive.

Plus, friend of my coworker before I retired was a young woman who went to Detroit one day and suddenly a man swing a brick at her face and then ran with her purse. She said “Right in the supposedly safe part of Detroit, in the afternoon in bright daylight, with dozens of nicely dressed people around, and he could have just grabbed her purse-—she wasn’t going to fight back. She was in the hospital for a week. They had to repair her eyesocket and cheekbone. She was in a lot of pain.”

I remember the regime of Mayor Daley. They called Chicago back then “the city that works.” He was corrupt as hell but he put up with none of this civil disorder nonsense.

I wonder who Gary Rabine voted for for the past 40 years.

Chicago is a cesspool of corruption, greed, malfeasance and extortion... aka: Al Capone’s Chicago. Chicago has descended into a “Escape From New York” dystopia land run by thugs, crime bosses and petty thieves.

Chicago’s installed new boss via vote-rigging and fraud... Brandon Johnson, has a manifesto. A goal to subjugate Chicago under “BLACK” minority rule. A black cartel of extortion, bribes, payoffs, graft and laundering tax-payer funds to enrich himself and grow the black thuggery and hooligan ranks. All must comply to a new poll-tax in order to operate within the cartels territory. Pay the tax or be run out of Chicago or destroyed in livelihood or life.

It’s called “Homeboy Nigg-a Rule”

The only thing that can save our cities is mafioso organized crime families. They demand rules and enforce them.

Replace the government organized criminals with private sector organized criminals.
