Budweiser has released a new patriotic advertisement as its parent company struggles with controversy over its endorsement partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
The advertisement, which was released on social media Friday, features one of Budweiser’s famous Clydesdale horses traversing the country from New York City to the Grand Canyon, passing by scenes in the American heartland as a narrator delivers a patriotic message.
This is a story bigger than beer,” the ad’s narrator says in the ad. “This is the story of the American spirit.”
As the ad plays, the Clydesdale horse passes by some of the most famous American landmarks, showcasing the New York City skyline, the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC, small towns, and farmland.
At one point, the ad showcases two people raising an American flag as one places her hand over her heart.
“Brewed for those who found opportunity in challenge and hope in tomorrow,” the ad’s narrator says as the horse passes by the flag raising duo and the Lincoln Memorial.
The patriotic ad comes as Anheuser-Busch, which owns Budweiser, continues to deal with backlash over a partnership between another one of its popular brands, Bud Light, and Mulvaney.
Anheuser-Busch has suffered a financial hit as calls to boycott its brands have spread across the country, with one Missouri bar owner telling Fox Business last week that sales of bottled Bud Light dropped 30%, while draft sales dropped 50%.

Neigh I say...
Too little, way too late, PUDweiser.
Great, now I can go back to drinking Bud Light. Oh, wait. I don’t drink, and when I did, I never touched Bud Light.
Love the horses. Loathe, despise, hate, spit and take Bodacious Obamas on everything associated with that formerly respected beer company.
Eff you Bud. Now, tomorrow, and forever.
Shove it up your collective trans-holes.
You can lead some horses to water but you can’t make them drink Bud Light.
Corporate is wasting money on this commercial. They are NOT SINCERE as evidenced by their continuing employment of the TRANS-PROMOTING VP.
No matter how hard one tries, one cannot please everyone, but with a little bit of effort and creativity, it is fairly easy to offend everyone.
Attempting to unoffend 60-80% of the people by doing something that will tick off the 20-40% that were impressed by one’s initial offense is to shoot one’s self in the other foot.
Not sure if even Spuds MacKenzie or the Budweiser frogs will be able to reverse the damage.
I expect for A&B to apologize and grovel profusely!
They should be renting their garments and throwing dirt in their hair begging us to forgive them for destroying a once great American institution.
A traitor is a traitor. You want a last cigarette?
Doesn’t it feel better, you stupid bastards, to be associated with this type of imagery and sentiment, rather than an outlandish freak?
I’m sure it does for the vast majority of AB management and employees, but I agree with you, Mr Mojo, it’s too late. AB is too big to take down, but I’m hoping we might be able to shut down Bud Light
Ha...all of the above.
Maybe these companies will catch on and stay out of politics. The same thing with commercials...now 90% black, mixed or gay. Tell you the truth. I’m white and can’t remember one damn commercial I saw last week...All I see is the actors...and my “memory” shuts down.
Their response has been very condescending, they are really showing their customers they don’t care what they think. Will that work, or will it make the “boycott” stronger and longer?
And as far as as I know, no one has been fired. So they are just trying to paper over this. Not serious. This Bud’s Not For Me.
As I posted on another thread:
They should get a tiny pony, put Clydesdale mane, tail and foot feathers on it, and have it prance around a team of Clydesdales hauling a Bud Light wagon.
I used to drink Bud, but lost my taste for beer several years ago.
But I did, however, have a Yuengling yesterday to support a real American brewer
