After alienating "fratty" customers and hiring biological male Dylan Mulvaney to promote Bud Light, resulting in a $5 billion loss over the past few days, Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth is finally weighing in.
"As the CEO of a company founded in America’s heartland more than 165 years ago, I am responsible for ensuring every consumer feels proud of the beer we brew, We’re honored to be part of the fabric of this country. Anheuser-Busch employs more than 18,000 people and our independent distributors employ an additional 47,000 valued colleagues. We have thousands of partners, millions of fans and a proud history supporting our communities, military, first responders, sports fans and hard-working Americans everywhere."
"We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer," he continued. "My time serving this country taught me the importance of accountability and the values upon which America was founded: freedom, hard work and respect for one another. As CEO of Anheuser-Busch, I am focused on building and protecting our remarkable history and heritage."
"I care deeply about this country, this company, our brands and our partners. I spend much of my time traveling across America, listening to and learning from our customers, distributors and others," Whitworth concluded. "Moving forward, I will continue to work tirelessly to bring great beers to consumers across our nation."
Meanwhile, no word from Bud Light Vice President of Marketing Alissa Heinerscheid over her decision to destroy the brand.
Alissa Heinerscheid, Bud Light’s VP of Marketing, doubles down on her extreme woke strategy to promote the “declining” American beer brand to “young people”, while smearing her former customers as “fratty and out of touch”.
How’s that working out for you, lady? @budlight pic.twitter.com/zNYKbMnZnu— Old Row (@OldRowOfficial) April 9, 2023
Heard today that AB is canceling all Clydesdales appearances for the rest of this year.
Bud Light in the Loafers
LOL! The next Transheuser beer. I’m not sure if it is Tranheuser or Transheuser.
If Brendan were just a tranny, black, a bio woman, or gay he would be unfireable.
As it is, being a straight white male that lost 6 billion bucks, he will be picking up his personal effects down on the street before the end of the year.
Do you mean his photo from the side? From the side, it is apparent his facial plastic surgery failed big time.
Still at Budweiser (or Anheuser Busch?)? If Bud wants customers to know they’re listening, fire her or move her elsewhere.
Bingo!
HE-SHE’S make me nervous.
Now $7 billion Transheuser losses? Yippie! I wonder how Nike and Oil of Olay are doing?
“The Anheuser-Busch CEO who wrote this is former CIA”.
Also a former Lt. in the USMC.
We can’t boycott every single woke company, but we don’t have to.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s not a boycott... it’s a total rejection and one has to be absolute about it. That means all 600+ brands under the AB umbrella. Watch and see corporations rejig how they think about things when the only shipments they are dealing with are incoming trucks returning beer from places that don’t want it.
Good point: as long as they leave kids alone, we’ll leave them alone. Why did they go after children? My first assumption is pedophiles. The Transtapo is still going after kids. Washington and California are transgender refugee zones, where kids can run away from home and take transgender drugs and get mutilating surgery. Next, they’ll legalize child sex for children’s “rights.”
Agree, sounds more like he’s saying, “We just want to be nice to everybody and you guys made a fuss for some reason”.
Credit to Katie Pavlich for a great line.
“We can’t boycott every single woke company, but we don’t have to. We have to pick our targets.”
We bombed every German city didn’t we?
We bombed every Japanese city and nuked two.
We can handle Inbev. Should be rather easy.
What the hell does this even mean? I'm not 'proud' of any product that a given manufacturer produces. I may like that product, hate it or be indifferent about it, but there's certainly no no reason to take pride in it. What, I'm supposed to be proud that I bought it? Uh, no...
Kind of a clickbait headline...a decline in stock price/market cap (only $3 billion as of today) is one thing, I want to see upcoming sales figures...that is the true indicator.
Stocks rise and fall for multiple reasons, and Inbev/BUD stock is still up 10% from this time last year...while the S&P 500 is down 5% over the same period.
