The one pivot Republicans could make to start winning again
Fox News.com ^ | 4-11-23 | Liz Peek

The abortion issue is causing problems for Republican politicians across the country.
Republicans have an abortion problem, and there is only one Party leader who can fix it: Donald Trump.

Let me explain. Like the proverbial dog chasing the bus, the GOP spent years campaigning on the promise to appoint Supreme Court justices who would repeal Roe v. Wade but when finally successful, had no idea how to navigate the resulting political landscape. Democrats have used the reversal of Roe and Republicans’ subsequent anti-abortion initiatives to paint the party as extreme, thereby winning over women and younger voters.

The overturning of Roe handed abortion policy back to the states, where it will stay for the foreseeable future. Our country is so divided on the issue that Congress is unlikely to pass a nationwide law any time soon.

Compromising with the Devil is the quickest end to America!

Liz is WRONG!

It is precisely the killing of innocents which is the greatest offense to God, and until and unless America repents and returns to God, our spiral into destruction will continue to accelerate.

If the majority of the country wants to murder children than it’s not worth saving.

Agreed. Liz is wrong. But she's also misleading.

By making out like us pro-lifers fighting abortion harms Republican election chances, she wants us to assume elections aren't being rigged anyway. And discussions about winning elections should begin on the premise that we have to stop the cheat.

This is the political conundrum on abortion.

There’s evidence that Republicans have lost elections because of abortion. There’s evidence that the Red Wave predicted in the midterm elections was a red Ripple because of abortion.

There was a lot of criticism here on Free Republic of Lindsay Graham ,during the midterm campaign, proposing a federal limit on abortion. And the reason for that criticism was because of how it hurt Republican and conservative candidates running for office.

Politically , is it smart to take a hard line on abortion, if it affects the ability to elect conservatives to office?

are there any other key beliefs we could surrender on? We’ve given up on fiscal responsibility and mostly on border control. Maybe we could surrender on taxes so the Democrats will be nice to us.

She has it exactly wrong. I was late to the Trump party because I hadn’t trusted him on the issue. THE issue. He delivered. He has my unflinching support. But if he tries to pivot to a “balanced” position, he loses me, and a lot of others. Hard. I think he is better than that.

Why don’t people like her whi claim poll backing say something like, “80% of people don’t want to forced into electric cars. Republicans should campaign on leaving auto regulations alone.” or “80% of people don’t want trans-everything all the time. Republicans should run on protecting women’s sports”?

It is always abortion. And pro-ligers are the ones who are told to be “reasonable”. The folks in Minnesota and other states that have just passed 9 months abortion on demand (against polling) are never asked to retreat a little.

The pro-life movement is the most successful conservative movement of the 21st century.

Though the Left does win elections such as Wisconsin and Kansas based on Roe. Abortion has suffered an absolute decline in America since the 1980s.

Abortion as a practice continues to decline. Jane Fonda was correct— the only way they will stop us is to kill us all. That is what they think. It is their only real argument.

The topic to pivot on is clean elections. Republican losses have little to do with slaughtering babies.

Many (if not most) Democrat politicians embrace abortion up to the moment of birth (some are okay even with murdering the child after birth).

Odd how none of the political pundits ever question if that is a winning position for the Democrats.

Is it politically smart to embrace evil and lose God's Grace?

Are you suggesting we can deal with the Devil and win?

Or that we can continue to offend God and not risk our personal and national soul?

See, this is an establishment organ putting out a piece to convince the base that their core values are secretly a problem and we can only go forward if we embrace a policy that the GOP says they oppose but really don’t, which is why they have her doing this article.

But, if they WIN, they’re expected to accomplish something. And that’s just too much work. Better to be in the minority where nothing is expected of them, but they still get paid, AND get those donations.

The only “pivot” that would turn the Republican Party into a force that could win back America is to study and learn the actual policies of the first Republican - Abraham Lincoln. We have been lobotomized by the Rockefeller/Kissinger neocon Wall Street CIA/MI6/WEF Nazi globalist feudal war lord faction. Those b@st@rds have been pulling patriot strings since Teddy Roosevelt’s failed Bull Moose Party splinter action. Until we read, understand and apply the Bull Moose party platform of the election of 1912, we’re gonna get steamrollered by “progressives”. Grab your yarbles and DO IT.

Nationally, there is a proven pro life increment. The votes you gain having a pro life position exceed those you lose.

I am pro life regardless and find any other position reprehensible.
