NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Nashville officials are poised to vote Monday to reinstate one of the two Black Democratic lawmakers expelled by Republican colleagues for their gun control protest on the Tennessee House floor after a deadly school shooting — essentially, sending him back after a long weekend.
Nashville’s metro council has called the meeting to address the vacancy left by the expulsion on Thursday of former Rep. Justin Jones. Many councilmembers have publicly commented that they want to send Jones back to the statehouse. The vote will happen as state lawmakers hold their first floor sessions since last week’s expulsion votes.

I suspect they will be back because elected officials are generally cowards who won’t stand up to the media saying mean things about them.

“American democracy” is just another name for BELOW THE BORDER SOCIALISM that all of the Demented One’s illegal invader benefits magnets are running and “caravanning” away from. “American democracy” is the reason our country is rapidly becoming OVERPOPULATED with sewage from out countries.
The Nashville Council continues to existentially Kiss Black Ass.
At a minimum, they should be permanently expelled from the legislature and banned from entering the building. This includes even if they get reelected. If I had my druthers, they would be prosecuted as well for disrupting official proceedings.
IF they do restore this fascist, it will be worse than if they never got rid of him in the first place. It will give inestimable momentum to the left, and they will take advantage of every microgram of it.
They are only upset because the ousted troublemakers are black. Nothing else matters.
This is what happens when your Governor, Chamber of Commerce, legislature and the developers that control them all, do everything on their power to recruit companies and industries that bring “already filled jobs” and hordes of liberals and radical Leftists to your state.
Nashville is unrecognizable from what it once was.

Don’t know Tennessee law, but in most states vacancies in the legislature are filled by special elections, not city councils. That said, I have no doubt that both expelled members will easily win any special election.
In regards to Congressman Adam Clayton Powell’s explosion from Congress, SCOTUS ruled that Congress had to reseat him when he won re-election, so these guys will be back, probably as long as they want.
And continue to expel them every time they try to show their face in the legislature.
