Bill Barr says Democrats are intentionally emboldening Trump's base with indictment to ensure he's the 2024 GOP nominee 'because he is the weakest of the Republican candidates'

Bill Barr said Democrats' goal is to use the judicial system to get involved with the Republican primary and ensure that former President Donald Trump wins because they think they can beat him again in 2024.

Trump's former Attorney General said Sunday morning that the recent indictment against the former president and the many other legal battles are a calculated effort by progressives to embolden the MAGA base.

A grand jury in Manhattan moved late last month to charge Trump in the Stormy Daniels hush money payment case – making him the first-ever president to face indictment. Last week, the former president was arraigned in New York.

LOL

You two think Trump is the problem?

LMAO

DeSantis like Trump will lose in 2024. The Dems have the presidential election sewn up. Arizona is gone (blatant election theft so obvious it is nauseating). Georgia is gone (Fulton County). Wisconsin gone. Michigan gone. The State of Fetterman gone.

“ How much worse could’ve things possibly gotten?” (for Trump if he had shutdown Mueller)

——————————-

The senate and house would have impeached and removed him from office. Period. No more Trump.

Your memory of that period of time is very narrow.

Your other post showing the states and Dems having 257 electorates without effort is accurate. Neither Trump or DeSantis will win the general especially against Robert Kennedy who will win the dem nomination.

I really wish you would step back and realize that the problem is the house and senate are NOT MAGA or CONSERVATIVE regardless of who is president. They have proven that repeatedly.

Trump couldn’t make them more conservative. DeSantis won’t make them more conservative nor will he enthuse the voters. If voters aren’t pressuring Congress, the uniparty thrives.

They tried to say Obama was the weakest candidate too. Until he won the primary.

The country isn't conservative.

We lie to ourselves, telling us otherwise, but election results simply do not demonstrate this.

Abortion rights are popular. Government spending is popular. Anything that smacks of intolerance is frowned upon.

The only conservative advances in the past thirty years have been an expansion of gun rights.

People are tiring of wokeness and trans issues but don't have the stomach for the fight.

Sure, we'll have pockets of solid-red conservatism throughout the country but in the battleground states we need to reclaim, solid-red conservatives are simply not electable.

Trump is the most socially liberal president since Nixon but his demeanor and scandals turn off swaths of voters.

Trump will lose in 2024. DeSantis would probably lose as well. The Democrats will sweep the election and then move fast to pack the courts and roll back every conservative advance that has been made, particularly when it comes to 2A rights.

Short of civil war, the future will likely require a re-implementation of states rights in order for us to continue as a union. Red states get to be red, blue states get to be blue, --if the liberals will let us.

"You don't quit do you?"

No.

You should not quit either, regardless who wins the primary.

No they wouldn’t you are believing MSM talking heads talking points; each vote is a person not so random BS, if they don’t generally like you in the primary they won’t vote for you in the general election...this whole deception thing works with Democratic candidates lying in the general election...Republican voters still have some morals and standards they don’t go with the masses who are highly influenced by MSM.

Just think about it, you are going to take your core base that did not like you in primary for granted, so you can be attractive to voters in the middle(if such a thing exist, BS)? does not work like that, as you are adding they are subtracting it is a wash...there is no middle ground now it is just about getting out your vote.

Democratic ballot harvesting is what is giving them an edge yet Republicans still won...now that Republicans are going to do it Democrats have no chance...don’t believe the MSM, just watch 2024 Trump is a lock...don’t believe the lie...hence the investigations.

Yes, the people agreeing with Barr are supporting the politicization of the courts, law enforcement, and everything to see Republicans never will again at the Federal level.

So the strategy is to get 75% of Americans to vote for Trump because he’s the weakest possible candidate.

Thank you for the response, we actually agree. And as stated, the only solution is to strengthen states’ rights.

Based on what you stated, DeSantis is too conservative to win as well. The country is not conservative.

The only thing we disagree on based on your response is that the hate for Trump was based on his character. No. It was created by Media/holllywood/libtards who engaged in mass psychosis. Very few have actually heard Trump speak or know what he has done. Nothing Trump did would have changed this. Granted, some independents may have paid some attention to facts but if they did - anyone that chooses character over results is shallow, period. Those types have no standards or insight.

DeSantis is poised to sign a Heartbeat Bill/6 week abortion ban in Florida.

I realize that there's a conservative mandate in Florida and he's obligated to sign the laws that the conservative lawmakers that his leadership helped get elected place on his desk.

But I'm not naive. This will hurt him in a national run. I wish it weren't so but it is.

Yes, I should correct myself. I truly do believe that the hatred for Trump is misguided and manufactured by the media who would never forgive him for beating Hillary Clinton.

I'm old enough to remember Donald Trump as a celebrity, as a businessman, and as an entertainer, and he's been once since the mid 1980s. Since that time, he's always been portrayed as a wealthy New Yorker, maybe a bit of a blowhard, but nothing more than a bon vivant. A man who enjoys the good things in life (and sometimes the good things in life are porn starlets and Playboy Playmates. It's good to be rich).

I honestly do not believe Trump has a racist bone in his body. He was smeared as a racist due to his stances on the wall and immigration, positions that are actually widely popular among voters of both parties.

Unfortunately, and this reflects back to my complaint that Trump failed to defend himself, these charges stuck.

A massive number of Americans believe Trump is a white nationalist racist. Of course, if you ask them why they cannot articulate it. They'll mutter platitudes about his wall and immigration crackdowns. Or maybe because the Proud Boys liked him.

There was a massive failure in messaging. Trump let the media, and his enemies define him. Unfortunately, a significant measure of the electorate would accept this new narrative and calibrate in their mind the man they believe Donald Trump to be.

“ And each election we win Texas by smaller and smaller margins. One of these cycles it’s going to flip blue. “

I’ve never seriously pondered that, but if Texas goes blue, it will be nearly impossible for ANY repub to win.
Whoa
