Michael is superb on this song, even though he was only about 11 years old at the time. He ‘performs’ the song, he doesn’t just sing it.

Soon after this Motown disc was released, lawyers from another singing group descended upon Motown and forced them to pull it off the market. Gee, I wonder why?

In my opinion, this is one of the greatest tunes to come out of the Motown diskery. It should have been a #1 hit, but sadly, it only "bubbled under" the Hot 100 before fading away. Nonetheless, it retains a following as a "lost" Motown hit.
