Environmental lawyer and anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to run for president in 2024 as a Democrat.
The filing was confirmed Wednesday by his campaign treasurer, John E. Sullivan.
The 69-year-old is the son of former New York senator, US attorney general and assassinated 1968 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy and the nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy.
In March, Kennedy tweeted that he was considering a run.
“If it looks like I can raise the money and mobilize enough people to win, I’ll jump in the race,” he said. “If I run, my top priority will be to end the corrupt merger between state and corporate power that has ruined our economy, shattered the middle class, polluted our landscapes and waters, poisoned our children, and robbed us of our values and freedoms. Together we can restore America’s democracy.”
His tweet pointed supporters to his website.
“Let Bobby know you want to see his leadership in the White House,” the site says while asking for donations.
This is a breaking story and will be updated.

Bless your heart!
I think I’d have to vote for a democrat for the first time in my life in that case.
That would sure make the 2024 election a lose-lose for Fauci. lol
LOL, I love your apt characterization as a “fireship” against the Left...:)
Nice job. The imagery there...
If it comes down to RFK Jr. and Asa Hutchinson in the general, I’ll vote for RFK jr.
It's useless.....
A strong primary race always weakens the incumbent. Remember Carter, Dad Bush, Shillary, etc.
There are a lot of people wealthy enough to finance their own elections. But few of them are independent-minded or patriotic enough to put America’s interest above their own. Morgan and Morgan have built their wealth as attorneys. How likely would they be to support things like tort-reform and de-regulation? They are part of the system and their wealth is dependent on it. Trump is outside it enough that he’s not dependent on it. Perhaps Kennedy is as well? I don’t know the answer yet, but it’s an intriguing possibility.
Asa Hutchinson? LOL! He’ll be lucky if he sees 1%.
I see chairs to him to challenge Biden. Doubt it will go anywhere, but it will make it interesting.
No rich person, not even Trump will finance their own election.
If one of Morgan & Morgan’s “For the People” hand-picked candidates gets elected, every business and industry be sued into oblivion. Charlie Crist was another M&M bagman.
Imagine Kennedy and Paul teaming up, bring Gabbard in, plus a few other moderates, they would represent a clear new generation of candidates.
The difference between Trump and the others is that Trump doesn’t NEED their money. He can afford to tell any donor he wants, to take a walk if they try to attach strings to him. In addition, Trump receives a higher percentage of his donations from small donors than most other candidates.
I am seriously thinking about contributing to Kennedy in order to kick off Operation Chaos 2.0 ...
Libertarians are already drooling their THC and gametes out. But good riddance. Many already voted for Biden and Cannibala anyways. Better they join the dems than continue their subversion of the GOP.
Can’t believe that I’m saying it, I would. At least he resembles an intelligent statesman.
I predict any white libertarian including registered “Republican” who has ever invoked the name Karen as a derogatory term, will definitely, utterly and absolutely support Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
one of the few democrats that I don’t have a negative view of. currently I can’t see him getting past the primaries but if he did the GOP has its work cut out for them. he is not an idiot, and he seems to be honest in his dealings with others.
He’s unknowingly asking for a CIA hit.
