Following the 1968 Gun Control Act, and the mixed-bag of the 1986 FOPA, the gun rights movement tried to meet you gun grabbers for an honest debate.  That, in hindsight, was a fool's errand.

Your team has endlessly used every opportunity to erode your fellow citizen's rights, at every turn.  Always taking whatever rights you could, and then coming back for more.  Can't ban America's sporting rifle?  OK, let's pass a "red flag" law.  Can't get the courts to restrict citizen's rights to carry firearms for self defense?  Fine, post-Bruen, let's pretend we can regulate the right out of existence as a practical matter, eg New York's CCIA that basically declared the entire island of Manhattan as a "gun free zone".

In the 90's you corrupted the CDC to produce anti-gun propaganda on the taxpayer's dime, and cheered pathological liars like Arthur Kellermann when he published his preposterous lies in the once-vaunted NEJM.  And today you continue your authoritarian agenda across the political landscape, predictably using tragedies enabled by your own leftist policies to argue for the disarmament of your fellow citizens.
