Russia's president Vladimir Putin, 70, is taking tanks as old as he is out of storage in his desperate bid to crush Ukraine on the battlefield.
A video showing long obsolete Soviet-era T-54B and T-55A tanks - designed to be used in the armies of Soviet tyrant Josef Stalin - on a train carried across Russia, presumably destined for the frontlines of the war, has emerged.
It comes with Putin having already raided museums and storage depots for retired T-62 battle tanks, which halted production 12 years ago.
The geriatric T-54 was originally produced by Stalin after the Second World War in 1946, but Putin seems to be sending to war an updated version from the early 1950s - some 70 years old, the same age as the dictator.
Putin is fond of boasting of the prowess of his military capabilities. However, since his forces crossed the border into Ukraine over a year ago, his armies have been exposed as being outdated both tactically and in terms of equipment.

I thought Putin was dead from a laundry list of terminal ailments? Are you sure it’s not Putin’s double taking the T-55s out of museums?
Russia has hardly used any Armor - the theater and circumstances don’t accomodate mechanized warfare.
But then again, Daily Flail is a yellow journalism rag - and you’re a $**t-stirring Uke harpy.
Meanwhile, both Bakmut and Avidivka are encircled. Fact is when they fall, the Donbass will be liberated, accomplishing one of Vlad’s primary stated goals….
and there is nothing the West can do about it.
Update on Russian military operations in Ukraine for March 23, 2023:
- Russian forces continue encircling the fortified cities of Bakhmut and now Avdeevka, two major points along Ukraine's defense line in the Donbass;
- Ukraine is gearing up for its upcoming offensive, carrying out drone strikes on Crimea and reconnaissance by force along the line of contact in Zaporozhye;
- the stated goal of Ukraine according to Western reports is to cut the land-bridge between Crimea and the rest of Russia, though that would hardly isolate Crimea entirely;
- Ukraine would suffer immense losses, just as they did during the Kharkov /Kherson offensives last year, with the addition of many more Russian troops and extensive defensive works created months in advance;
- The US and EU are surging remaining stockpiles of artillery ammunition to Ukraine ahead of the offensive to sustain 2-4 months of intense fighting. Once depleted it will take years for the West to restore these stockpiles;
- Russian shell production appears to have exceeded Western output as early as 2014-2015 and has continuously increased since meaning Russia's ability to regenerate combat power exceeds the West's at this moment;
The Ukraine airplane and its mastery of the skies should make quick work of these tanks.
That is hysterical.

The world we have known will no longer have the United States as the first among equals. In the same way that World War II marked the end of the British imperial empire, today’s events in Moscow are a death knell for the United States being able to act as the global policeman who imposes order on unruly countries.

The Biden Administration is flailing in its response to this new alliance. The loss of American influence in the world is not going to happen overnight, but the process has started. Remember this day. It will change the lives of your children and grandchildren. Let us pray that is for the good.
Using T-54’s and T-55’s means all those SPG-9M’s the Ukrainians have will suddenly become useful again.
“”Russia has hardly used any Armor””
Well, that is sure a new claim, but the timing, and this thread doesn’t seem to be the best to introduce it though.
What’s to stop China from sending more tanks to Putin?
China sends troops and tanks to Russia ahead of next month’s military games
They were transported by train from Manzhouli in Inner Mongolia to Zabaikalsk in Russia’s Far East, according to state television
Events will be held across 12 countries including China and Venezuela amid heightened tensions between Moscow and the West
A train carrying personnel, military tanks and vehicles recently left Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia in China’s north, headed to Zabaikalsk in Russia’s Far East, the military channel of state broadcaster CCTV reported on Monday, without giving further details.
I guess that means we can save a little money and send Ukraine bazookas instead of Javelins.
“the Donbass will be liberated”
From whom?
That is like comparing rule by white Democrats to Black Democrats in a major city.
I would not want to be ruled by either of them!
soon Putty Put will be oiling up the muskets!
LMAO
how’d you like to goto war in a Sherman???
upgraded of course...
