Russia has hardly used any Armor - the theater and circumstances don’t accomodate mechanized warfare.

But then again, Daily Flail is a yellow journalism rag - and you’re a $**t-stirring Uke harpy.

“”Russia has hardly used any Armor””

Well, that is sure a new claim, but the timing, and this thread doesn’t seem to be the best to introduce it though.

What’s to stop China from sending more tanks to Putin?

China sends troops and tanks to Russia ahead of next month’s military games

They were transported by train from Manzhouli in Inner Mongolia to Zabaikalsk in Russia’s Far East, according to state television

Events will be held across 12 countries including China and Venezuela amid heightened tensions between Moscow and the West

A train carrying personnel, military tanks and vehicles recently left Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia in China’s north, headed to Zabaikalsk in Russia’s Far East, the military channel of state broadcaster CCTV reported on Monday, without giving further details.

“Russia has hardly used any Armor”

If so then why aren’t they using new tanks instead of seventy-year-old museum pieces?

In this war, Russia has visually confirmed losses of 1871 tanks. They’ve lost another 816 armored fighting vehicles, 2226 infantry fighting vehicles, and 311 armored personnel carriers. So Russia has used armor.

Ukraine has plenty of wide, flat terrain. There was plenty of tank warfare in WW2 and tanks have seen action in this war as well. As far as antitank weapons, it’s still possible to use armor and they still do use armor.

We saw much more tank action early on when Russia had the upper hand in movement. We still see it in their attacks but on a smaller scale, there’s footage of it.

“Russia has hardly used any Armor”

HA! So they just drove all those tanks into Ukraine last spring to abandon them as a charitable donation?

“the theater and circumstances don’t accomodate mechanized warfare...”

Well, sure, but Russia had to learn that the hard way though.

Russia and Ukraine are on the steppe. That is tank country!

The theater is about the best suited for armor anywhere. That place is flat. And all those ex Soviet designs were developed on that terrain. Kharkiv was the principal tank/armor R&D and manufacturing center of the Soviet Union.

The circumstances include, most importantly, Russian institutional incapacity.
