President Joe Biden is seeking to beef up the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) budget to $1.9 billion in fiscal year 2024, a $663 million increase in funding compared to the end of the Obama administration’s fiscal year 2017 budget.
Under Biden’s proposed fiscal year 2024 budget, the ATF would receive $1.9 billion in federal funding, an increase of roughly 50% or $663 million compared to the end of the Obama administration’s fiscal year 2017 budget of $1.237 billion. Biden’s budget coincides with several gun control measures, including pistol stabilizer rules, ghost gun rules and a “zero tolerance” policy for gun dealers.
“Especially through the Department of Justice, and in particular with the ATF, this administration has declared all-out-war on the Second Amendment,” director of federal affairs for Second Amendment advocacy group Gun Owners of America (GOA), Aidan Johnston, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Whether it’s their demands for significant increases in funding for enforcement, by arbitrarily changing statutory definitions via executive fiat, or by implementing a zero tolerance policy to shutdown firearms dealers and expand an illegal gun registry, President Biden and his anti-gun cabal are doing everything they can to harass, discourage, and chip away at gun owners and the community as a whole.”
Biden’s fiscal year 2024 budget would provide additional funding to the ATF to further regulate the firearms industry, create gun trafficking strike forces, enforce background checks and implement the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, according to the budget. Alongside the DOJ and ATF, the FBI will receive $51 million to support the continued implementation of enhanced background checks required by the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.

It’s not the ‘A’ or the ‘T’ that’s the problem, it’s the ‘F’...................
I heard a definition of productivity as “doing the right things, and doing things right”.
Biden does all the wrong things. . . but thank the Lord he usually F’s it up pretty badly.
With Tobacco and Firearms being banned, the “A s” will be only doing one third of their job. They should be budgeted only one third of what they are getting right now.
That’s about a 6% increase in budget every year.
They hope to spend $2B “not infringing” our rights.
It’s almost as if these oath breaking mfers are gearing up for war or something.....
From experience their “enhanced BGC” of 18-20 year olds consists of a quick look at the application and if no immediate red flags are noted, they just ignore the application for the 10 business days that they are allowed, then they look again to make sure there is no reason to deny it.
Meanwhile, the Defense budget increased by a mere 3% which, with inflation, is an actual cut, matching the demand to cut the Navy’s ship count to below 300 ships.
All that with the expansion of the Chinese Navy
Good luck with that, Brandon.
Put the ATF back to their job of collecting taxes on alcohol and tobacco.
How long before gun owners are declared to be domestic terrorists?
Not good. Ping!
And there are enough GOP-e to bribe to make this happen.

The T is not enforced. The “Spice Weed” being sold in grocery stores caused deep psychosis in 26=year old son of a friend led to depression and suicide.
We need Two billion dollars to regulate Tobacco, Alcohol and firearms? Does that even sound rational?
The money for the war on Drugs should be from agencies that regulate illegal drugs and interstate transfer, like the FBI or DEA. ATF doesn’t belong here.
What this means is that Biden wants to fund a war on legal items that are regulated, which is a regulation to far in my opinion.
The ATF should defunded and shuttered along with the FBI. Those are the two most weaponized parts of government and a true threat to Americans’ freedoms.
Who is REALLY pulling the levers????
