Pence says continued Jan. 6 rhetoric is reason he and Trump went ‘separate ways’

Former Vice President Mike Pence said continued rhetoric by former President Trump related to the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the Capitol is the reason the two split despite leaving Washington after their first term “amicably.”

“Despite the fact that the president and I actually parted amicably when we left the White House on Jan. 20,” Pence said in an interview with ABC’s “This Week.” “And spoke several times in the weeks that followed that. After I saw him return to that type of rhetoric in the spring of 2021, we’ve just gone our separate ways.”

Pence signed to serve with Trump... know before you sign, that it is right.. and after signing in with his boss.. for the sake of the country.. don’t be a turncoat. be loyal .. don’t turn into what I think of you now!

Trump’s “at the top of his game” at 76? I seriously doubt it. Biden is even older (80 iirc) which is ridiculous as wife Jill is already running things.

Was Pence disloyal to Trump while they served together? Is Pence required to support Trump for the rest of his life and forego his own ambitions? Is he forbidden from disagreeing with Trump now that their time together is over? No.

All is true with what you typed but is the swamp exerting influence and the media being a dog for coverage of former VP knows best ?

Pence is the typical Rino. He will always give in to the Left/democrats and does not have the character nor backbone it will take to fight the Left/media/democrats and take our country back.

If Pence would have done the right thing on Jan. 6 perhaps he’d still be VP and quite possibly a leading candidate for President in 24.

Pass the torch? Bwahahahah!

This isn’t a grade-school baseball game where “Billy” deserves a chance to BAT for his team. Your in the majors and the electorate will decide who will be chosen to bat against the leftist dirty-playing slime in order to win the game. Politics isn’t about equity... giving “Billy” a chance at bat. NO! It’s about winning the game by not passing the torch to a wet-noodle in the name of equity. Trump is our Achilles, the best fighter we have to take down the Democrat’s Boagrius. Ever watch “Troy” ??

Pence won’t fight dirty to defeat the devil... Pence is a pussy, the Republican “Paris” in Troy. When the real fight begins, Pence retreats like a coward.

Mega ego or not... it is Trumps sheer will wrapped in ego unafraid to attack the opposition with barbed & dirty rhetoric and truths.

Trump is General George Patton... Pence is Neville Chamberlain.

Get behind Trump or loose the war.

he wasnt just disloyal.. he badmouthed him and went too far with his mouth.. and running against him.. the threat.. I don’t want that kind of “loyalty”

I lived first half of life in Indiana.. was glad to see Pence chosen.. when he got ugly.. I was done with Pence. This country had been torn up because too many had to turn against Trump to save their own hide with the media and in politics.

Stand for something!!! and stay true.. playing politics is not a game when the country is at risk,

Pence has been Quayle’d. He needs to do what Quayle wisely did and f off to Arizona and make a pile of money doing nothing but playing golf with his other military-industrial boards of directors.

He’d rather run the ship into the rocks than allow anyone else to take the helm.

The problem with your logic is that 'anyone else' is deep state garbage, including DeSantis.

Good point. Nobody is going to vote for Pence so he’s pursing some other profitable agenda under the guise of wanting to run.

He’s a real piece of work.

Another thing in all this.. whether we like it or not...being short does not help when the world stage is involved. if a gal is pretty to look at.. it helps..

Trump is a big man..tall and when he walks into a room, he is noticed. You anti Trumpers do not like to admit this..
with obama, he is tall...and it helped him... if he had been short and no charisma. he would not have been President.. and I did not like his terms at all.. but facts are, his people worshiped him.

Trump has a personality some of you do not like. I give you that. but it works to ward off the enemy nations.
I don’t care if he combs his hair one way or another.. he’s a patriot and he does not have to do this.. for the country. but he does..
how small they sound to complain on an item that does not matter in the equation... when Trump has taken the abuse head on.. and has proven he can help win this...against the whole government that has been turned over to the really hard core anti America..

The fact that Pence isnt angry about speaks volumes. The election was stolen from him as well. But he shrugs it off and casts himself as a victim of Trumps continued criticism of his “loss”.

A high IQ solves problems.. wisdom... and a hi IQer is ahead of most of us.. they get impatient having to wait on us.. they want to get on to the next problem.. they work at a fast pace..
you who translate Trump as full of himself... study about a HI IQ and then you will know why he is who he is.
The anger and dislike has been going on for too long...will all of us on this side, ever understand this is a war that we cannot lose!

Pence is basically a career politician. No substantial experience outside of politics. Just goes to show how far sanctimony alone can take you.

Was Pence disloyal to Trump while they served together?

Pence was not only serving Trump on Jan 6, he was serving the Constitution and he was certainly serving the nation.

Pence let Pelosi of the opposing political party mastermind the outcome. Even worse, it appears Pelosi had a carefully thought out and coordinated game plan well in place. Pence had the gavel and he had options but he did nothing.

The guy was elected at the age of 70. He’s no less energetic and involved today than he was back then.
