Gov. Chris Sununu (R-N.H.) on Sunday said the possible imminent arrest of former President Trump in an investigation into alleged hush-money payments during the 2016 presidential election is building sympathy for the former president.
“I think it’s building a lot of sympathy for the former president,” Sununu said of the possible arrest on CNN’s “State of the Union.” The governor said some Republicans he’d talked to who aren’t “big Trump supporters” expressed concern that the former president “was being attacked.”

RINOs have enjoyed a rather privileged position. Voters wanting conservative polices vote for them because the perceived alternative is worse. Now the dems have come up with a plan to cause the voters to burn down the Republican house if they don't start showing some spine. And if you look at some past losses - e.g Ryan - it's not an idle concern.

What is Trump supposedly being arrested for and where is the probable cause of a crime to to justify arresting him as required by the U.S. Constitution?
Otherwise those involved in this conspiracy are subject to arrest and indictment.

Not at all. Sununu is opposed to arresting Trump only because it will benefit Trump, in his opinion.
Otherwise, he is just fine with the persecution.
Even a dope like this knows what is coming.
Trump will reap $millions in free publicity and millions more in donations. In the end he will claim victory and even sell pictures of his booking photo.
This will close out all the little pipsqueaks like Sununu and Dolton fatso Krispy Kream and Sabu’s daughter.
This country is filled with people who detest New York City and its Mos Eisley cantina denizens with a passion.
For those people, getting prosecuted for a fake crime there is seen as a major point in Trump’s favor.

Sununu Fils is, I am sure, less than giddy. This only arouses Trump's base within the Republican Party, the very people who are the biggest impediment to Sununu's political ambition, which must realistically be a VP slot on a DeSantis ticket, his advantageous perch in New Hampshire notwithstanding.

Do you folks remember the book series and movie series on the Left Behind series? The part where the anti christ searched for Christians and the darkness in spirit which was felt everywhere. Any of you feeling that darkness in our government, where there was no escape... no way of escape in the book/movie series..
It feels like they are out looking for us and Trump, so they can be complete in their conquest.

This son I speak of, has a high IQ. A gift. All who have come down on Trump... just don’t get it. Not everyone is like you... or me...
I was talking to my son yesterday... I know him and I describe Trump’s ways and etc. because it’s familiar..
When one is a child, it comes across as a know it all, because they never were not a high IQer and they do know more than some others. They have to learn not to boast and to handle it with care.. knowing every day you have to slow up for others to still be with you...
I’m sorry to belabor this...I want others to see Trump as a help and volunteer.. and forget the picky items..we have a country to save!!!
Talking to a High IQer is not easy sometimes.. If you are not,.. and I am not. My 10 yr old grandson, from another son, has a high IQ. His dad told him... “you know a lot, but don’t ever think you know more than your dad”.
Talking to my son, I went into Trump’s personality...and gingerly mentioned the similarities. He agreed.. which surprised me a little. You can’t tell hi IQers a lot.. I mentioned the word, “rude”. He chuckled and realized he could be... because they are at least 2 steps ahead in their brain, than the rest of us. Impatient, rather than rude.
I say all this because Trump has been so misunderstood and so taken to task...when he is the one who came in as a conservative ..... left his abundant life aside.. took no salary.. He did not need all they have done to stop him. he could have left us and played golf. He didn’t. and the appreciation he received?
I realize I have been all over the place in this opinion... I am just so disappointed that my country has been taken over by the dem party, which has become the party of the devil.. they have turned into the enemy of the United States and we have to hang together or they will destroy us all.
So, even Sununu is condemning this farce but DeSantis can’t step up and do the same?
Trump has been put thru the wringer... every day in every way. I don’t know another person who could take it for 4+ years and still keep volunteering to serve. DeSantis is young yet.. you don’t learn to be strong and know how to endure.... till later. And some never get to that place. Even worse to see your kids in that wringer and know you are the reason.. they are after whatever will shut you up.
Shortly after former President Donald Trump announced he expects to be arrested, U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said Republicans don’t need to protest the possible pending arrest because the “communist Democrats” have sealed their fate.
The representative from Georgia took to her professional Twitter account multiple times on Saturday to share her thoughts on Trump’s Truth Social post where he said illegal leaks from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office have led him to believe he will be arrested on Tuesday.
In her first tweet Saturday morning, Greene came after the Department of Justice and the Manhattan DA by stating the potential arrest is “ALL FOR POLITICS!”
“This is what they do in communist(s) countries to destroy their political opponents!” Greene wrote. “Republicans in Congress MUST subpoena these communists and END this! We have the power to do it, and we also have the power to DEFUND their salaries and departments! Enough of this!”
